I need to vent...
As some of you may know I run a Haunted House on the Military base I\'m stationed at. Well we have a family who worked in it last year. They have a 14 year old boy and a 11 year old girl. Both love Halloween and love to scare people. The whole family really gets into the who production and makes it worth while. Well I was just notified today that some people on base think the girl is to young to be in the Haunt. And because of this she they wont let me have her act in the House. But what gets me is the fact that we let 10 year old kids go through it without parents. But a 11 year old girl who helped build it and understands its all fake can\'t work the house with her Dad?!??!! So I had to notify the Dad of the Change knowing it was going to break the girls heart. So now he pulls out from the Haunt. Saying that if my Daughter cant do it then Im out (Which I totally agree with). So now we have a empty room. Not to mention its the Last room in the House which to me is the most important.
What upsets me the most is the double standards and the lack of timing on this one. This family has spent so much Time and Money for this house. And to be told that one of them cannot participate just bugs the shit out of me. It really ruins the whole Halloween spirit. I\'m thinking about quiting this Haunt because of this unfair treatment. But I don\'t want to put out a crappy production when everyone knows it was my ideas and my sweat that helped make this possible.
What do you guys think of this?
