What Does Your Family Think?

Just curious, with Christmas coming up soon, does your family support your addiction to masks?
I mentioned that I\'d love to get a mask for Christmas and got shot down immediately. :angry:
I said I wanted either Nemesis by Themeguy or SawGuy by Justin. They all laughed at me and said "you don\'t get Halloween crap for Christmas" I replied with the fact that a Psycho mask would be Halloween, the other stuff is just damn cool. It didn\'t work..


So any of you get the same line when mentioning new stuff to your family??

Most of my familys likes the stuff.They actualy come in my room to see the new stuff i get.My grandmother even likes to see what new stuff i get.They dont talk down to me about collecting.Its a hobby to them just like anyother hobby, just that i collect masks.They say hey if thats what makes ya happy, then go for it.My cousin even goes to conventions with me and enjoys horror aswell but he doesnt collect anything but enjoys the stuff i get.I dont really ask for anything for Christmas or could care less if i get anything for Christmas, but if i asked for one i would probably get one thow.......

pshh yes, everyone in my family thinks i\'m a frak for it. I asked for a FOD part 9, my grandpa said, WTF! You dont play hockey! I said no, its to add to my horror collection, he said shit son, this aint no halloween, and you dont need no masks, you need a good chrismas sweeter! WTF?! <_< :angry:

my family pretty much likes it, and is glad that I spend money on this instead of drugs and whatnot....but I\'ll show my dad sumthin knew, and I swear everytime I do, all I get from him is a simple shake of his head and a "and how much did you pay for this???"

My family is the same way Pugs... I have a few masks in my living room and last year during christmas a few had santa claus hats on them...lol. My Grandma loves them...hell, she was the one that got me started on horror movies.

See Pugsly, that\'s the part that kills me. They all seem tho like my collecting of random crap, but when it comes to Christmas, it\'s like it is taboo to ask for a horror mask..
I can buy my own no big deal and don\'t really expect anything for Christmas but they buy me stuff anyway so why not a cool mask rather than a new pair of work boots. I can get boots for free at work. lol

Yea i aint going to be allowed to get any mask for xmas. Ny parents just think its a waste of money. On the other hand any other time i do recive my stuff my father will say what did you buy know, take a look at it and say im crazy. actually my father opend my part 6 ecs1 and my dmc part 5 fred and was like o you aint gonna beleave wat you got in the mail today. he also loved the ecs1 freddy glove. my mother just like the dmc part 5 fred and said i got to many of the hockey mask. But they wont buy me no mask so i guess ill have to wait.

I\'m lucky as well. My whole family knows how long I\'ve been into everything horror and how much I love it. When I was a teenager and my walls were completely covered with posters, my parents would send visitors down to my room so they could see something different.

Now that I\'m into collecting masks, they always come down to my room to see what face arrived in the mail. My girlfriend sleeps with me among all my stuff...hell she bought me a Psycho for my birthday and chipped in on Jeremy\'s 3 bust when I bought it B) .

My family knows and understands me perfectly. I love em

Oh...and my Bohr 3 bust is my mothers favorite piece!!!
