I'm not really a fan of Dowg's hockey masks at all. I think that as far as paint and detail goes they are very nice indeed but the mask itself in my opinion just doesn't look right at all. In every picture of every Dowg Hockey Mask that I've seen the edges of the masks flare outward, making it look to me like it was nice and uniform and then got stepped on and rolled the edges outward a bit. They just don't seem as stream line as a Hockey Mask should be. It reminds me of a mask that was made to hang flat on a wall rather than being worn.As far as your being happy with the hockey masks though that's all that matters, and don't get me wrong, as I said before the paint jobs and weathering of the masks look great and I'm very happy for you to add them to your collection!
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndWell they are a 2nd generation blank Ken Tarallo's, so apart from the 1st gen, you can't get much closer!! You're entitled to your own opinion though.

If I was to make a post, and have to start with "I hope I don't get flamed for this", my wiser judgement would be to simply NOT post what I was going to say. If you think that your thought/opinion is going to be rude and unjustified enough to cause a flame war, why post it? The other thing that got me thinking was Rusty uses Ken's blanks. Ken pulls his blanks from the movie molds. So when you say you don't like the shape, I would take that to mean you hated the movies too. Kens blanks are 1st gen from the same mold, so what you see in his blanks is simply the screen shape with no well lit movie set. One last thing that got me though, why not post this is Rusty Dawgs topic/for sale threads on a new mask/paint. This is a new score thread, your opinion cannot do anything other then make Savage hate you. Now, if you were to make this post in one of Rusty's threads about a new hockey mask it could actually do some good as a note for when he does another (even though what you want changed is movie accurate)

Yeah I will take some pics asap darren and show the superb detail on them, I'm just not the best photographer in the world though..LOL!!! I'm certainly no David Bailey!!!!!! I dont think this guy should have posted these comments about your masks, the shape of them is exactly the same as the frightstuff blanks, I own several of them and these are spot on!Thanks for your comments goaliehack, i agree with you 100%!!!!IMO and many other peoples, there is absolutley nothing wrong about the shape of these hockey masks, but as Darren said, photographs can be deceiving, you gotta see them in the flesh and displayed on an undermask before you comment on the shape. Yes Darren, i am happy with them mate, MORE than happy!! Thanks for 2 great scores! <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> I will get some pics up of them on the Hackhead to show the wrap around effect.

There is nothing 'wrong' with the shape of those, unless you are a big fan of bad recasts lol. Nice hockey masks though. Darren is really great at them.
