I would just carry a real axe, screw the cops! They will prolly give you leniancy anyways since its halloween. If anything, they might assume its fake right off the bat

Axes, machetes, real work blades arent ever very sharp. The blades are likely to knick and break if they put under that much stress by trees and stuff like that. They have to keep an edge which requires alot of carbon but the thinner the edge the more fragile it is.

Last year we used a real one for the yard, we just tried to not really take it near anyone. Didn\'t have any problems.
