Halloween 3

its been said thousands of times, but if the film were simply released with it's original title, "season of the witch", it would have been MUCH more memorable, and would probably be an iconic horror film of the 80s that people still talk about today. but because it got such a bad wrap as a sequel, people chose to ignore it as if it never existed.

I think it's a great John Carpenter film. He had the right idea, but most people wanna see a good thing beat into the ground. And really, every MM movie since the 2nd movie has been, for the most part, a remake of the 1st movie. Sure, plot may have changed, but it's always been the same premise. Just gets very old and predictable after a while...
I still don't understand the point of making a thread though. Why didn't you just look back at countless other similar threads, read along, and share in their dislike? Moreover, if you knew it didn't have MM from the start, why did you still hold it to standards as if he should be in it? ...To each his own.

well because, i am not the type of person to just say, this movie is garbage....if im not into a film i want to see why others are, and then if i agree on points made then i get a deeper understanding of the movie. and like scott said, original title people would be more into it and its just that halloween is a huge horror franchise *later ones cheesey or not* and its just a big shadow ya know?

Actually I'm glad they added "Halloween" to the title :thumbsup:
Sure it did piss us off back then but if it had not been added to the franchise there's a chance it may have been forgotten forever :unsure:

If some think the idea of no MM in H3 was crazy, I think the concept of THORN and the idea of having H20 ignore the past sequals was crazier :down: lol
