You know, I've only seen the show once, but Crawford did some AMAZING stunt work and acting both for that character. You gotta love any actor who also does his or her own stunt work. Thanks for all the critique and compliments, everyone. I see a lot of the problems pointed out here, plus MANY more, and am currently working to fix the mouth, eyebrows, cheek "folds", and eyelids. Adam, the eyes are being a real PAIN! I took a couple pics into Photoshop and you're right...They are faaaar too wide. I've been adding little slivers of clay to the inner eyelids to help close them together, but HOLY CRAP that's hard to do and still keep their shape looking nice. Here are a few more I took today, after a few small changes to the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and chin. The last one taken with flash is the newest:<img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300188.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300204.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300206.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300191.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300212.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Thanks again and keep the opinions coming. I need to get this thing looking waaaaay better before I can even *think* about posting it for critique over on the EffectsLab...haha!Cheers,Ryan

I think an important aspect to study is the geometry of the face. I learned in my life drawing classes in college that there are certain points that generally will always line up on everyone's face: The edges of the mouth should align somewhere around the inside of the iris, the edges of the nostrils should align with the inside points of the eyes, and if you make a box touching top of the head to chin, and side to side, you should be able to make a pentagram on the face. The lines from the top center should cross the bottom of 'hinge' of the jaw, coming back up cross another angle in the jaw, and finally the horizontal line should run from the tops of the ears across the brow line. Also, if you take a point from the center of the bottom lip, to the outermost part of the side of the head, it should cross the outer edge of the eye. These are all things I'm sure you can discover for yourself by looking at them. Just thought it might help you in your sculpture. (hope it doesn't stress you out when you see how some things don't align hehe)Here are some simple reference pics for you:[attachment=32355:Book_Fac...Geometry.jpg][attachment=32356Tongue1300188.jpg]Btw, I still say close his eyes up a lot more. If you photoshop an iris in, he looks too wide-eyed and surprised and it sort of takes the life out of it. Also, I think the head should angle in a little before it connects with the ears, rather than straight-down.Hope this helps.

Adam, that is the best and most helpful tool I've seen in a very long time. Thank you SO MUCH for posting it!I've decided that, to remedy this problem, I'll be gouging the eyes out again and probably adding more accurate human eye forms with a cornea already built in. During that process, I will realign the eyes and eyelids to give them better placement within the measurements of that diagram. The reason the top of his head and ears throw off the pentagram measurement is probably because it's sculpted a bit too tall on purpose to account for the slicked-down hair, bald cap, prosthetics/hair, and wig. All those things combined make his cranium look a lot larger than life. Here's a new pic of the sculpture along with a quickie Photoshop of the same picture - with a translucent overlay of MC in makeup - and the pentagram based on top of the SCULPTURE'S features to show you how well they already line up (The image you used for that wasn't centered correctly):<img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300251.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/P1300251copy1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Thanks again and cheers,Ryan

I think the problem is his left eye is too close to center, his right one looks okay as far as placement. But yeah man, hope that diagram helps you out. I didn't think you would need it when you sculpted your Jason though. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" />

The ref pics you've shared are showing him with various smiles. You sculpted a wrinkle (approx mid jaw) that only shows up when he smiles or smirks in that direction.Anyone have that link to the facial anatomy page where you could mix and match a series of expressions to see the effect on the face? I found it to be pretty informative, but can't find it now.I have to admit I'm completely jealous of what you've done though.. that thing is impressive as hell! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />
