Here's a test backplate. I normally try to replicate the backplate stain but I seem to be having trouble doing so with this new aging technique. But I think the backplate looks much more authentically aged on this new piece so I am considering doing away with the replicated stain for the time being until I can figure out how to do the stain with this new method. What are your thoughts? For the fingers, I think the one on the left (the longer shaft of the two) is the closest you've ever made.That backplate makes me feel weird and grimy for even enjoying the visage...Great job! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":lol:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> However, I think it needs to be made much darker before integration with the rest of the design. Perhaps you should wait until you learn how to weather it properly using your new method(s). It'll pay off in the long run.Cheers,Ryan

Looks Fantastic! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> I also say the finger on the Left, and i think if you can keep that backplate aging AND add the stain, overall with those new tip oxidation... Gonna be a Beauty man!!!!! Thanks guys. I think I'll be able to get a better looking backplate stain though on my next one because I had treated the backplate with a liquid that made it very difficult for the staining chemical to take effect so hopefully I will be able to do an even better one next time around. Glad you like it guys!
