Completed armature! What do you think? (This is a STANDARD Hero... this is NOT a Deluxe Hero or any of the Resurrection gloves).<img src=\"http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn47/knifegloves/DSCF4899.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

While I still disagree with the rivets you use, the patinas all look extremely accurate. You're getting very close now. If you could make the backplate's weathering look more "natural" or "blended", you'd have a nearly unbeatable replica. You also need to find a way to incorporate that strange, reddish weathering on the finger tips while keeping it subtle enough not to be a distraction. In addition, you need to somehow find the way to make your leather gloves look absolutely NASTY. That'll reeeeally complete the look and tie everything together. You know, it's eventually going to get to the point where I can no longer hold off on buying one of your gloves. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Keep up the great work!Cheers,Ryan

Again, I've only been making gloves for a little over 2 years now and every glove builder goes through a transformation of methods. I'm just still going through that process so if I find something else that works, I'll try it. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

If we've discussed this before, my apologies. I talk to so many people and go through so many recommendations I forget who's who and what the recommendation was after a while. The backplate was a test and I had treated it with a liquid that I normally reserve for the FINAL step of the backplate but I tried to add the backplate stain after I had treated it so the chemical took kinda funny. Normally it's more blended. As for the leather gloves, that's my hardest challenge right now. While I'm pleased with my gloves, I know the leather can look better. I have tried some weathering methods that look good but really dry out the leather and I do not want the leather to dry out. I have done the alcohol + paint method and I did not like the feel of the glove with paint on it. I hope to ultimately find a method that nicely softens the leather but doesn't screw up the color. It's been an uphill battle. I'll get there eventually...

PM won't be necessary, as I think I've just confused myself! The only reason I *thought* the rivets looked off on your glove is because I haven't seen definitive pictures of the rivets on the part 1 glove ever being any different than they appear today...Now that I've re-examined my picture collection, I'm starting to change my mind. Does anyone have some nice screen caps to post for proof that those rivets on your current template are all accurate to how the hero glove originally appeared in the first film?If I'm wrong about that, then sorry in advance...I guess I can just chalk it up to my desire to own a "part 1 glove replica as it appeared during part 2's production." <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> Cheers,Ryan

Some have claimed that the middle-finger's rivet is larger but I just think the light is reflecting off the rivet and making it appear a bit larger. Some have also claimed it has plier marks on it but I just think it's water droplets.

Yeah, I guess that pretty much proves it. I'm wrong about the rivets, then. They look decently accurate.Keep up the great work. WinkCheers,Ryan
