Hey guys, I just purchased a Vengeance (haven't got it yet) but i'm in the market for a screen accurate pt. 7 Hockey Mask.I've seen TONS of KILLER masks on this site, and most of the quality part 7's i've seen have scratches on the nose and scratches over the mouth-area on the Hockey Mask.I've come to the conclusion there are MANY different Hockey masks used in the film...some with scratches, and some without scratches. For example: in the beginning of the movie when Jason rises from his watery grave, you can clearly see the scratches on this mask, nose ...ect.However, the MONEY SHOT of the film, right before he hits the blonde in the face with AXE (after she opens the door) there are no scratches on his hockey mask. Here is the scene i'm talking about:My question is for you guys....which do you prefer, Scratches or no scratches?

I'm a fan of the scratches myself.

It's not scratches when he comes out of the water. It's mud or seaweed or something they put on the mask to dirty it. As the film goes on it gets "washed off". I haven't watched the film in awhile but I know after Tina electrocutes him in the puddle they are gone

it's my opinion that the two masks are the same. i think the the movie was filmed out of sequence so sometimes the mask has scratches and sometimes it doesn't.

from what kane told me, the scratches we never deliberate by who made the mask. he says the scratches physically occurred during the scene where the ceiling/roof caved in on him. (when they shot that scene, I dont know)but thats where they originated from. kane said in reality, that scene almost killed him and the thin plastic hockey mask is probably what saved his life (or his face for that matter, lol)

Every time i watch that roof collapsing scene I cringe.

A.) There are only three hockey masks seen on film during the entire theatrical version of F13 Part 7:1.) The broken mask picked up off the ground by the fireman,2.) The break-away mask for the face reveal scene, and3.) Mario's hero/stunt mask, which was used in about 99% of all scenes involving Kane Hodder as Jason. Stunts, close-ups, distance shots, FX shots, you name it...B.) Buy a "Black 7" if you want a perfectly accurate Part 7 hockey mask. Accuracy to this movie and design is unachievable with any other product on the market.Cheers,Ryan

Three masks . . . one "hero", one broken and one break away are all that is seen on-screen. That's all. That's it. No more, no less.I tend to dig the scratches myself. The "Black Se7en" is the most accurate in size, shape, color, etc.
