Need Help With Painting A Mask

Well I decided to base out the tentacles and mouth. I\'m happy with the colors i have so far, the tentacles will change as I add blues and reds.
The mouth and the "raw" parts all need alot of blood aded to them. I tried mixing some reds to get that dark red but transparent so it looks like blood, it didn\'t work...

Can anyone tell me the secret to doing blood? I tried on one spot here using my enamels but it got all cracked when it moved. I can fix it easily enough if I know how to make good blood paint...

what i use to make a very cool blood, is buy some cheap blood in a tube, and mix it very lightly with brown. give it a shot man, i think you\'\'ll be suprised

Well, I couldn\'t locate any of the blood color I wanted so I used the off red color that I had and thinned it till it was pretty transparent, I preshaded the areas in black(thinned also..) and painted the red over that. I only got a couple spots done but it came out close to what I wanted...
Also did a bit of work on the tenticles(airbrush and sponge work...)

The red in the back came out a bit too red but after I get all the red done, I\'ll be doing a brown wash and a black sponge bath..
Should push it all back nicely...
