My wife and I were doing fine, but here parents both got laid of from there jobs last summer, and wound up losing their home and moving in with us. They weren't able to find jobs, so we supported them for roughly eight months. Togetehr we make good money for two people, but not enough to support four people, so our savings is gone and our credit is maxxed. Her parents did find jobs and their own place to live, but it is going to take us awhile to recover from having to support them for so long. I did get laid off in that time period, but was only out of work for a week or two. I refuse to think about what would happen if one of us got laid off now, it'd be devastating, but we do both work for stable companies and have key positions, so hopefully that is not going to happen. I hope everyone is able to get thorugh this time. Kyle I don't live far form you, and I know here in Pittsburgh it is impossible to find a job for the most part, unless it is in the medical field or you get lucky. Took my in-laws eight months to find jobs, and they only found them at KMart.

I've had to move back in with my parents even before we were officially in a resession and I've been moving from job to job for what seems like an eternity. Unfortunantly I'm currently unemployed and worse unless the econemy picks up quick I don't see myself getting a job that pays more than minimum wage anytime soon (especially in my area). It's been over a year since I purchased a mask and I've sold most of my collection just to help my parents pay rent and utilities. My dad in on disability and my mom is a substitute teacher but isn't getting many jobs as of late with teachers worried about their own jobs and during the summer it becomes worse since school is out for summer. Luckely my mom retires in Sept or Oct.

My wife and I haven't been hit too hard other than the higher cost of living. I work for a flooring distributor. There have been two rounds of layoffs in my company. After some "restructuring", I was moved to a higher position without the higher pay. I'm happy to still be employed, but man, I hate my new job. My wife is a nurse, so the only way her income was impacted was lowered 401K matching. The higher cost of living has put a damper on my spending for nonessential things like masks. The only way I'll be buying any high dollar masks in the near future will be if I sell a few first.

Guess it'll last longer for some, depending upon the industry they're in, and the industries around them. Hang in there folks.
