Those of you not contacted yet, or that don't see your names on the "list" (now located as of a few days ago on the KRUEGEAR official message board (that would be through my site,<!--coloro:#8B0000<span style=\"color:#8B0000\"><!--/coloro and not the unauthorized board using my domain on the other probaords address<!--colorc</span><!--/colorc) known again as it's always been ,as , "THE DREAM BOARD". And that list is still being compiled. This forum would be the one that I run and helped to set up with Chris after he purchased the domain name and wanted a place for glove makers to help each other out and most importantly a place where a link was set up on the .com site where people who's money you took and vanished with could hopefully get in contact with you or find something out if you ever re-appeared as no one had any way to contact you so this was a last resort for them in a hope that you might see their messages.Nothing Bad was ever posted on the forum and if it was, then it was removed as I didn't want it to be a bashing place on you or any other gloves maker. their was a section for peole to simply leave their name and details for you to contact them on in a hope that you would see it and make good one dayWhat annoys me now is that you have a problem with this forum and have mentioned this to a few people, you talk like we have done something wrong <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/verymad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":verymad:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"verymad.gif\" /> Do you really think with the reputation you left yourself with I would have even bothered commiting my time to this forum If Chris had never planned to re open a site under the original kruegear.com name ? Chris is a great glove maker and outstanding guy to do business with so I had no problem helping him out with putting things into the right direction where you failed. As soon as you came back on the scene a Mr.Dark made a post and I messaged him on the 11th Feb with a message to forward to you which he assured me he would explaining about the forum and what it was, where it was and offering you a friendly hand to help you out if you needed it and I've never heared anything from you. As far as I am concerned, you did not renew your domain name, Chris brought it and asked me to help set up the forum while he got a new website built and the rest is history. You got your domain back, well done <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> is the kruegear.proboards.com which I've spent the last 2 years running unaurthorized ? not in my book, it was set up while you was not the owner of the name and has been a great community for glovemakers to all come togther which I like to think helped raise the bar with a lot of the glove makers today. I'm hoping to move the forum to a new home and name in the near future Since your return I have a lack of repect for you now ( not before funnily, I didn't have an opinion of you, I had no need, never done business with you) only now that you come back to this hobby and community and talk like you deserve respect, not a second chance RESPECT . that has to be gained in my book . a simple reply would have been nice with a thank you very much for the kind helping offer, and to kindly ask that I change the forum name if you did not want it to be part of your plans would have been nice.I'll do my best to make it speedy getting the proboards forum moved and detached from YOUR NAME

In his defense... the customers ARE getting more than just their glove. He's sending them a MUCH better product than they would have received had they gotten the glove when they first paid for it. Granted, the 5-years waiting for it is another issue.. but at least give him some credit for giving all of his customers a major free upgrade. His current gloves put his old ones to shame.

I don't know the guy and I've never done buisness with him. In fact, he was gone when I began collecting... But, I think its great that he's back to complete the glove he owns and upgrade them. Everyone needs to think about the customers that I'm sure didn't think it was possible to get their gloves after so long... So its really great to know these person will get what they paid for long ago. I want to comment also on the Forums issue... I'm a member here and I think it was a great place to learn about glove making. There were always someone to help and it was a great resource for anything concerning Freddy and AOES series. So its kind of weird that Travis pointed that it was "Unauthorized"... He was gone and someone made something good out of it. What's wrong with that? Now what will happen to this board?Anyways, Its always great to know that fellow collectors will get their stuff and better than ever.

That's why I haven't contacted you about it after really thinking of what you've put into it these last few weeks. You helped keep the KRUEGEAR domain alive during my absence. I meant no disrespect to you or your hard work. AT ALL. So let's not go there, okay? If you took my statement as anything but a clarification, then I truly apologise. I'd like to call you a friend...certainly after knowing what you've done on your end to help me out as well by your diligence with monitoring the past goings on.I was really just trying to clarify the two so there was no confusion.Sorry if it came off as negative.Best,TravisAnd thanks Mark, you continue to be the best.Boogey

Well, I'll say one thing for Internet forums...they sure provide for hours of good reading! From my own personal standpoint...Travis has been doing his best to make good on his promises and fulfill his outstanding orders. I've been keeping tabs on things, and he indeed seems to be living up to his word...even if in a long overdue fashion. But, better late than never, right? After all, we all know of people in this community/hobby who have just flat-out vanished and have never been heard from again.I wish Travis the best in his efforts...and I'm sure everyone will be getting what is owed to them.Cheers, everyone.

I know it's completely wrong to wait until 5 years later to fill the orders, but I can't see anyone being pissed about it. If Travis didn't come back it wouldn't be a thought on their mind. Why complain now that you are making progress?Glad to see you back Travis. I started back in 2003, and I remember gawking over the gloves on your site.

I know he genuinely did want to help people get in touch with Travis. And I know you did too, and have been very helpful to people on that forum and elsewhere. However, let's not forget there was also some weirdness going on at one time with people wanting to reuse the Kruegear branding (in domain name and otherwise), even if it was initially or partly motivated by a desire to help people get in touch with Travis. I recall very distinctly Chris was at one point going to produce a "Kruegear" version of his Part 4 glove (with that name), for example. Before Chris let the domain expire, I recall some others lurking and hinting at possibly trying to get the domain to do who knows what. That's why (no sense in keeping it secret any more), with some effort and expense, I acquired kruegear.com (and .net and .org) at that time, and held onto it until I was able to get ahold of Travis. I originally had the thought that I might do something with the domain (not selling gloves), but only after receiving Travis' approval. After finally getting ahold of Travis and having a long discussion about his plans, we both agreed the best thing would be for Travis to once again take ownership of the domain. So now he has them.Again, I think there were only good intentions, but it got a little carried away and I just felt the Kruegear branding really should belong to Travis.

Like I said guys,Originally it actually really hurt that my domain was in play with a few others. Remember, you don't know what was happening, and whether you think , "he was gonnnnne, now he has it and shouldn't complainnnnnn, yadda yadda yadda, " look everyone, the point is, I didn't complain here on the board. I simply pointed out the fact that there was an unauthorized board out there with a domain I invented on it.I did this to alleviate confusion because of the new exposure for the brand. Did I think it was appropriate for someone to take a domain that someone built on with their wares, and then use it to offer their own wares when the original owner went MIA...no. But I had other things going on at the time ( such as being without a home, finances and surrounded by death on a daily baisis) that made it impossible for me to do anything about it.It hurt. It's that simple. When I came back, John told me he had it. And I was grateful. And yes, up until quite recently (until I went and actually took a look at the board in question and saw for myself that maybe, at this point, I should start looking at it as a tribute to the name rather than a hijacking-as it has allot of devoted followers who got a llot of enjoyment and comradery out of it regarding the films and their gear and their legacy) , I was going to ask that the owner change the name. But frankly, in the past few weeks after that event, I had a change of heart exactly for the reasons I've stated above. It's old news, and in the end, it kept the KRUEGEAR name alive when I couldn't. So what's the lesser of two evils? At this point, I decided about two weeks ago, what's the point in putting any more negative energy into the situation? So, that being said, the negativity of the responses aren't needed. If I were to have pointed out someone had written two biographies about Robert Eglund, and made sure then in suit to differentiate between the two because one was official and one was an unauthorized version, we would'nt be having this discussion. The same was done here by me, whether or not I was still upset (my right initially no matter an opinion as the person that came up with the name in the first place) at all. Ad I 'm actually not at this point any longer. But text is a tricky beast, yes. And tone often can be misread. Why did I post here everyone? To let people know (in response to chatter about me again) where they would be able to see some progress updates and contact info. I didn't start the thread, alright? And I realize some of you really don't like me, and that's fine guys. But you know what? I'm over it. I just wanted to come and reply to a post made so the addressees were out. Bye for now guys. And thanks for chiming in John...and everyone else that continues to speak on my behalf. <b>Mark, I'll get to your PM later today after work. I might be able to help on that.</b> John, check your email. I sent you a message a few days ago and hope you got it. I'd like to arrange that.

I've gotta throw in my 2 cents here now. Most of you know I'm one of the outstanding clients, some of you know that I actually had the glove from Travis for quite a while, and when he came up with a better way to finish them, a more accurate way, he offered to redo my glove for free. I considered him a good friend at that point and was thrilled to send it back to him. Shortly after that was when he went AWOL. I'm also one of the few who know the real reasons for his disapearance, and everything that lead up to his comeback. All I'll say to people who still doubt, is consider life as a constant changing factor, we don't know what's on the road ahead, sometimes it holds some pretty unfortunate, and terrible things we have no control over. And when these tragedies hit, things like making a replica prop fall to the back burner, I can't imagine there's a person out there reading this who hasn't had some time in their life they can recall where they wouldn't have been able to fill orders in a timely manner. Family comes first, self preservation comes first. Back to Travis, I've talked with him a couple times on the phone since his comeback, I can honestly say I have ZERO doubt in his promises, and his sincerity in this situation, and I'm golly gee willikers glad to call him a good friend again. If you don't know Travis, he is one of the most sincear, and humble people you could ever meet, always has been, which is part of the reason why his disapearance was so shocking, and hurtful to me before I knew the circumstances. And even as such, I was still as leary as anyone else with his comeback and promises, it's hard to accept after all that time he would still be the same person, and still want to make things right. Again though, after talking with him more about everything, I truely feel I have my old friend back, and as such, the guy who's gonna deliver the glove I've been waiting for. 5 years is a long time for sure, there's no questioning, or denying that, and I'm not saying it's an acceptable practise at all, I'm just saying if you knew all the facts, and understood the 5 year path it's taken for him to get back to this place, you'd know how serious he is about making things right. Without knowing Travis personally, I know it's hard to accept everything he says, it sounds too good to be true, and after some of the scam artists we've had to deal with over the years, it's easy to jump to the conclusion. How about this, if you don't know him, you all should know me pretty well, I've been a mod here for several years, know MANY of you personally, and if I can be so bold, am fairly respected. I would stake my reputation on Travis, and his sincerity in filling his remaining orders, and coming through on everything he's said he will come through on. I will personally vouch for him, if he fails in what he says he will do, you can all come back to me and blame me for it too.
