Whats up Horror fans, fiends and fanatics! I had a pretty cool idea for all of you mask makers out there that have some spare clay and armature that isnt being used right now. I was just over at MM.net reading the BIG topic of discussion over there and had a thought. With all these Myers masks that out there, whether thier actual original sculpts (which is VERY rare) or recasts and claypresses (which is VERY common) Thier is one mask that comes to mind that cant be debated on its authenticity and originality and thats Justin's Butcher mask. What an awesome take on our favorite white faced killer. I've always thought that mask was cool as hell. Reminds me of something out of Sin City or something. I think there should be more cool concept Myers masks like that out there. It would be cool to have a contest or something to see who could create the most original Myers like mask, but still ranking under the butcher of course <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> I've got some clay and a new armature in the mail as a matter of fact and i'm ready to gobble-dee-goop something! Maybe Justin can get in on this too. What the Hell, It'a god damn blizzard up here in Detroit and I dont have anything better to do. So, anyone up for it? I'm gonna do it regardless but if a nice handful of people want to have a whack at it we need to set some rules or something or figure out a prize maybe. So what do you guys think?-Bill

that would be totally awesome as i'm a huge fan of the Butcher mask but sadly something like that wouldn't come around . the buyer market is mainly based on masks that look as close to the movie ones as possible and not a custom look . Justin took a stab at it " no pun intended lol " and did wonders with it that most could only dream of but i know there's still a bunch of great makers out there too . mike,

I think it would be a good idea. I think it would add some fun to this hobby which it desperately needs. Well at least for me anyway. I'd love to see some new ideas.

I agree, most people want movie accurate masks in their collection but I think alot of those same people would like to see some new concept ideas too. I mean why not? Everyone loved Justin's Butcher so why stop there? He had a great idea in making that. Instead of trying to replicate all of our favorite Myers masks lets be creative! Thats what mask making is about, being creative. -Bill
