Has anyone here accepted a Paypal payment from a person who's address is not confirmed.I have heard stories of people that are not confirmed doing a chargeback and getting a full refunds.Would you accept a payment from a person who does not have a confirmed address?

To be perfectly honest I hardly get anyone with confirmed addresses anymore, Obviously this is just my experience but I have yet to have a problem.

I had been paid with Paypal for $400 with a non confirmed address. If it was for $40 I would not sweat it but that is alot of money to lose.I would hate to send the item and have the person say it was not received and get completely burnt for my item plus the shippings costs.I have heard many Paypal horror stories like this where people scam for free stuff with this method.

As long as you ship the item with a tracking number paypal will cover 100%

Yeah now when I send a high price item to a non confirmed address I make sure I have a tracking number, they have to sign for it and I get insurance. I did once have an overseas buyer file a claim 3 days after I shipped out their item. Paypal gave the money right back. So the guy got a free digital camera off me. Clear as day scam and paypal and ebay did nothing to help me.

If they've already sent the money.. move it from Paypal to your other account and wait for that to clear. Once that's done, paypal can't touch it. Keep all correspondance and shipping proof and you should be fine...DaveChainsaw9

I don't leave one penny in my Paypal account. Scammers can't get take back what's not there. I have yet to be taken in that way but I am much more cautious now than when I first started collecting and dealing with people through Paypal. Unless I know someone, the money will be in my chequing account before the item ships... simple as that.

I really do not prefer to attach my personal bank account to my Paypal account but this seems the only way you can get access to the cash which completely sucks. If a chargeback occurs and you actually pay out money out your own pocket to send your item to get cheated in the end I would be more than a little angry.I know not everyone using Paypal is dishonest but I would hate to take such a chance with a larger purchases.
