my friend posted this on another board and thought some of you guys would like to seeConfusedtarting Sept 1st eBay will take any seller's pictures used for items that they want and put them into a "Product Catalog" for others to use at will. If you don't opt out, eBay owns your pictures.Go under Account Preferences, Site Preferences, Selling Preferences and Share Your Photos.http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/sharing-content.htmlPat

Yeah some are set at no. Mine was set at yes.I think it is a stupid idea. When I am buying something, i want to see what i am actually bidding on unless it is a pre sale item.Pat

My default was yes. I also clicked twice and got this: ErrorYour preferences are not available at this time. Please try again later. LOL! Finally worked. Enough people steal my photos as it is.

well wait a minute , what if you wrote on a piece of paper your ID name and the date so that it showed up in your pic like how they had you do for video game systems ? i mean they shouldn't let somebody else use a pic that has a different name and an older date on it right ? mike,

Mike,It doesn't matter to them. All of the pics are going to a shared page, where you can use whatever pics you want.Even if you had that info somewhere in the pic, people could still use it if they wanted.Lame new rule!Pat

Thanks for the headsup, mine was set to yes, and I have sold many of my own mask paintups, would've been a sham to have someone use pics of my work to push some crap hoc, and it gets back to me doing bad business because my artist handle is visible in the pic, thanks again.
