Creepshow 'ticket Taker'...

Based on the poster art for CREEPSHOW, I made this piece for my son for Christmas.
I took a cheap Halloween plastic skeleton, which stood over 2\' tall, tore off the head, cast the head, and sculpted the rotting face as featured on the poster. I then molded the sculpt, and basically created a \'face appliance\', that would of course, fit on the skull\'s face like a glove. It was adhered to the face, painted, and the eyeball was added (which had to be shaped to fit). Lastly, the hair was glued on and hair gel was added.
For the body, I tore off the right arm and both legs, as they were not needed for the final \'look\'. I also cut the fingers off of the left hand, and re-glued them on, in the position that you see them on the poster, as he had to be holding the movie ticket\'s. I chip brushed latex over the arm and the chest, to give it a \'rotting skin\' look. I only did this on the areas that would be seen. Once dried, I painted those areas, and sealed them. I then sculpted and painted up a little mouse\'s head, and made the movie tickets. I glued the head back on, and gave it that slight \'tilt\' that the poster shows, and added his burlap cloak. I finally attatched the mouse and the movie ticket\'s.
I\'m really happy with how this piece came out, as it was done pretty quick.
Here are a whole pile of pics showing the evolution of this piece, from the basic skeleton, to the sculpting and molding, to the final product. Being someone who loves seeing \'production pics\', I always try to include them with my work.
