I thought this thread would help people out with their costumes. Just post a costume you are looking for, and maybe someone could help you out here.
The TCM Beginning costume was on Newline Auctions, so I got a better idea of what to use. It also gave a description of some of the clothing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning:
The shirt in the auction said "arizona jeans" shirt. This is one, and it is the only AZ Jeans shirt that had the same collar as in the prequel that I could find. Try ordering this with green/navy stripes, and I think you are off to a good start (refresh if the link doesnt work the first time):

The pants in the movie were brown slacks made of canvas. But all you really need are regular brown pants you can find. These ones are a good price if you are looking to save money, and dont already have brown pants:

The auction also said tan suspenders. I am pretty sure that was attached to the apron after to keep the apron on good. Here are some tan suspenders that would work good enough:

I am not sure how tie prices run, but this tie was the lowest regular black tie I could find on Froogle. In the movie, the auction says "tie" but in the picture it shows the tie, and I am pretty sure its black:

A Black chainsaw is what was used in the movie, so if you can find one, that would work out best for it.
It said "work zone boots" for his boots, but any boots will really do. If you dont have that much height like me, build lifts, or buy "monster boots". Those may add some inches on.
I am having a little trouble finding the right apron. In the movie, it was white canvas, bloodied and dirt. If you can find canvas, please post it.
Now for the techniques on weathering it.
For the shirt, since it is a light shirt, I think spraying the shirt with a dark wood stain would work. I have not tried this technique, but I think it would work good, being that wood stain can stain skin, it should be able to stain a shirt! After that, add some fake blood onto the shirt. Then, cover the ENTIRE shirt in mud (front first). Then hang it up, and let it all slop off. Then, when it dries as dirt, spray it off with a hose. You can do the same for the apron. Just use more blood.
For the pants, all you really have to do is drag the pants around in the dirt, or roll around in them in the dirt.
For the chainsaw, you can use black spray paint to make it look dark, and duck tape up the handles. If you have rust paint, you can use that on the blade of the chainsaw. That would add a cool effect.

If anyone has any good weathering techniques, please tell! I\'d love to know!
