After 40 or so days if I feel like I'm getting the run around I don't hesitate to put pressure on with a Paypal refund request. Once i did it and got a prompt refund. So if they want your money they will get the work done. I wouldn't send someone my payment if they said before hand that they wouldn't get started for at least a month. So I don't think its unreasonable if you to request your money back on the service you thought you were getting.

Nobody will ever convince me that it takes 7 months or more to produce a mask. In my relatively short time collecting I've read and heard every defense possible... but I just don't buy it. There may be a few exceptions to slightly delay a product but I truely believe it simply boils down to procrastination and disorganization. Money in hand is seemingly a license to takes ones time. What would happen if the money exchange was reversed? If the maker was paid after completion of the mask? I'm willing to bet we would see some drastically different delivery times. Of course there would be the odd flake who would bail on the transaction but I think it would be easier for a maker to sell that finished copy than the buyer sitting months and months with nothing but a hard-on for the mailman. Some may argue that makers need that cash for supplies... I don't buy that either. When you venture into any other business you need to come up with the funds to cover start up costs... clay, latex, paint, hair... I consider start up items. Now, just because I don't buy into the crazy wait times obviously doesn't mean I won't endure them. It's one of the unfortunate realities of the hobby that I have accepted.... to a point. People who know me know that I am a pretty patient guy and have waited some lengthy stretches for my masks. But if you make me wait that long you better be willing to answer my questions and status requests. My advice... if you're that uncomfortable with the 7 months wait, ask for a refund and look for a second hand copy. Good luck.Jason
