No problems with fiberglass, but plastic is a lot lighter and more comfortable. I prefer plastic now for long-term wearing.

Hey guys thanks for your opinions. I did like the idea of fibreglass but I am not wanting to have a mask that is going to crack or break so it seems that plastic is the way to go. I have a part 4 hoc mask made by "Ruste Dowg," and I dont know what it is made of, would anyone on here know?

It will be either .60 or .90 ABS plastic from the original pt 3 molds.

Its a very nice mask with a great paint job. The thing I like most is it has a trickle of blood that runs down around the eye, it looks excellent.

I prefer styrene over ABS. While ABS is very durable, it doesnt get the bend like ABS does. However with styrene, it can crack if abused. (such as many of the screen used hockey masks did)

Its got some fantastic weathering and blood effects on it. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

I think as I said earlier plastic is the way for me just so long as its got an amazing paint job. It'll be more practical for wearing purposes and display. Jezz, I'd hate to have fibreglass if it really does pull the paint right off your undermask thats not good. Thanks to everyone who posted here. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

I had a fiberglass Hockey Mask...not resin...not fiberglass resin. It did indeed crack and break, It could have been an airbubble in the fiberglass. Regardless it did crack.take care,Tommy<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndWho was it made by and what were you doing with it when it cracked?? If it was made by an amateur and there were large air bubbles in the mixture then it was not done right. An advantage I see w/ fiberglass is its ability to withstand high temperatures. An abs or styrene mask left in a car on a hot day could melt or distort badly. Probably part of the reason the last 3 jason movies have used fiberglass for their masks. Anyway, its all a matter of opinion, my choice would be the glass. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/turned.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":turned:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"turned.gif\" />
