    only use thiw cd to reinstall the OS on a dell comp

    then it says

    First you need to put your XP disk in your CD drive. Then shutdown your comp. Then turn it back on and hopefully it will read from the CD-Rom drive upon start up... if not, you may have to press F9 or whatever it tells you to boot from disk when starting up. Then follow the instructions to Format drive. You\'ll want to select NTFS format regular. Not quick! Select the correct partition and follow the instructions to format. The whole process should take about 2 hours. Good luck!

    Also remember to back up whatever you have that\'s important before formatting!
