What Does Your Family Think?

My parents basically think I am insane. My father can\'t believe that I am so much into it and although he could care less what I do with my money, he doesn\'t want to see me wasting it though. My brother although he thinks its kinda cool still thinks its the dumbest thing to be spending money on. I wish I could get it into my parents head to think of the masks as art instead of a piece of painted latex. But I am not doing it for them so I could care less what they think or anyone thinks for that matter. I am still able to collect but will be limited so that is why I am going for quality over quantity. In the end I am better off having this as a hobby instead of shooting up some heroin into my arm or gambling all my money away.

my grandma got me into horror movies to, when i was 5 or 6 she let us watch return of the living dead and i loved it, so then started watching f13 and went from there, my mom loves horror movies even though she never understands them (plot wise), my dad dosnt say anything cause we dont talk much, my aunt thinks its scary, and my other aunt thinks its cool, but i\'ve only been shot down by the ex about it, other than that no negativeness to it

My parents love it. They always love seeing me sculpting new things, buying new things. There great supporters. My Mum is my manager with horrorfx. And my Dad is my assistant with mask making and glove making.

my dad is an artist, my grandfather is a craftsman thats were all my talent (the little talent that i have) comes from, however they think the mask thing is immiture, a waste of time and also money. my mom is a christian freak and calls me satan and monster all the time, dont bother me much. alot of people are scared of me because of it and they should be, my parents think im gonna kill someone one day lol!.

On the brighter side my girlfriend supports the hobby and even buys me masks! love u babe.

Let\'s not turn this post please! I\'ve been wanting to rant all day! My Father doesn\'t let me spend my money on anything other than electronics or something that he likes. He\'s an elecrical engineer. He doesn\'t really like this artform and I WILL NEVER get a mask for Christmas. I only had a mask this year for Halloween because he decided that it wasn\'t worth the yelling. I got it a week or two BEFORE halloween from another buyer. My mother believes that all we do is Buy Freddy and "Jacab, or whoever the hell" masks and "all mask makers here are talentless jerks who only copy peoples work, sell them at ridiculous prices and rip people off!" I showed them the "Thing head prop"
and my mom said it was the dumbest thing she ever saw. She can\'t understand why we\'re so in love with "killing people and animals" . I even got my dull machete and glove taken away because it was "scary". WELL DUH!!! k. I\'m done. Other comments? Oh and Nick, my parents think that I\'ll cut myself with the glove and machete. I\'ve never cut myself one and papercuts make me cry.

I think she actually thinks they\'re kinda cool, but my dad never comments. I get most reactions from visitors/friends asking me when they come by \'Terry, how do you sleep at night?\' I reply with \'It\'s easy! I just lay down and close my eyes\'

Oh, and.. I almost forgot. I\'ve never ask for anything horror related for Xmas. It\'d be nice, but i know it would never happen. My folks just arent hip to the internet scene, so they wouldnt know were to start.

My family is very supportive when it comes to my hobby. My mom, dad, and sister love looking at new pieces when they arrive, my dad even help me put together my mask shelves and everything in my room.

My family is neither here or there about my collections. My mother never really says anything, when she does come over, and neither does my father. My sis totally encourages it, and when she comes to visit she wanders from room to room, looking for something new.
Now my NEW family, meaning my wife and kids, totally encourage me 100%. My wife buys me stuff all the time, and although I doubt seriously I\'m getting anything horror related (other than Crystal Lake Memories and the keychain from my sis) for Christmas, I get enough stuff throughout the year to make up for it.
