Little update, the neighbor who returned my moms purse said she seen two kids walking up the street this morning. They stole my moms cell phone and we called them and they said it was used bout 5:30-6:00 this morning. The local grocery store called us out of the blue too and said "We found your car keys" and this grocery store is about 5 miles away so we found the car keys and the cell phone has be deactivated. Nothing else was stolen like credit cards or anything but we still put up a red alert just in case. We called the topc 4 hours ago and they STILL haven't called us back.The thing that bugs me the most is the purse was next to my mom and she was sleeping on the couch and they just came in and took it right there next to her, it really makes you feel weird knowing someone strange was in your house right next to your family. It's OK now though, I got a huge pitbull coming from my aunt.

Do you guys have dead bolts on the doors? Or have you figured out how they got in?

I have three doors, Front door, Side door and a big glass sliding door in the dining room. The glass sliding door as an anti theft lock on it and the only way to disarm it would be to break out the whole window. The front door has a deadbolt which was locked and the side door has one but sadly, it doesn't work. They came into the side door, there is screwdriver pry marks on it so they probably picked the lock.

Been there bud. I was at my Mothers condo in florida and my wife woke me up one night as somebody was creeping in an open window. She heard the blinds glad she is a light sleeper. They must have been pros since they navigated between a small pool and garden in pitch black. I started to chase and then thought them might stab, or shoot me, so I stopped. I was really frazzled by it like you said you feel violated just knowing somebody was creeping around you while you are innocently asleep. I now sleep with a 38 special and a machete by my bed. Glad everything was recovered. Hope they catch those bastards.

I hope they get catched too, I really do. I'm making sure to sharpen up the ol' machete tonight just in case.

People really are scum bags. Glad to hear all they did was steal a few things and leave. It could have been a hell of alot worse. Thank God you and family are all safe.

that sucks man,in fact last night a good friend of the familys house was burned down and kids are suspected, thats fucked up.

The cop finally showed up, one of the nicest guys I ever met. He filed the report and we found out the whole neighborhood was hit last night, mostly cars but he says they were kids obviously because none of them took anything important at all, just some cash, cell phones shit like that. It's a scary thing and I can't stress enough how important it is to make sure your house is secure.

That sucks......no doubt....hopefully since it was kids they were sloppy and left plenty o clues.....................Larry
