thats a completely different story...as long as you have the rights to produce the mask...then go forth and be happy making masks....take care,Tommy

but if you have the mold....then why is there a need to make another mold of the mask?

Only reason to do that is to basically make copy molds if you produce a lot of them..molds break down eventuallyD

In that case I just suggest you make an extra thick master copy from the MOLD and then mold that for future production. but recasting will get you straight down the Maskmaker's naughty list. plus that will make your mask look like poo.

You still havent made it clear as to whether or not you have the rights to this mask/mold. You just keep saying "if you did...." Do you or do you not have a mold that you have been given permission to produce copies with? If you dont, I find it hard to believe that the maker of the mask gave you the okay to recast his mask and produce copies of it. Either way, if that were the case, wouldnt you have asked him if it was possible instead of us? If he gave you the okay to do it, and you didnt know what it was, I figured you would have asked him before making an entire thread about it.

Let me ask you this. If you made a mask that took months to do and is the best Myers mask ever and some started recasting it, would you be happy ? A mask that took you 4 months to do and people doing it in hours.NO. It's not ok.

There's a simple way of putting this downIf you buy a mold of a mask then it does not allways mean you have the right to seel copies from it.If I was you or anyone else looking into this I would only ever buy a mold if you have it in writing from the artist that they give you permission to sell castings from that mold. You get a lot of problems when it comes to Predator Bio masks.someone recasts someone elses work and then sell the recasted mold on to someone else and say it's ok to produce masks from it, BUt they do not have the rights to give you that permission as they never had it in the first place.just get it in writing from who ever you buy a mold from stating what you can use it for and any other details that may need to be stated.
