I'm sure you'll figure out what you need to do. I hope you don't think I was being too confrontational. I just found it amazing to think that a silicone bust that's hand-painted, with individually punched human hair, while being 100% spot-on visually to Heath Ledger wouldn't be worth more than $500 to you.

That Heath Ledger Joker bust is very nice but I would never pay $4500 for any single piece unless I had won the lottery and money meant absolutely nothing to me.Give it a few years and let the Batman hype die down and some talented artist will come along and put together a Ledger Joker bust for a reasonable price.

Hey its your money, and you've asked peoples opinions,but your not going to allways get exactly what you want to hear on a question like this, its a nice bust, but not the best likeness i've seen him do, i'm not wragging on him, he does a lot of great stuff, but mike hills looks far better to me likeness wise anyway.As for the price, well hair punching alone takes hours to do, i don't know if he does the whole head or just the hairlines, but its a royal pain, silicone stuff does take a lot of work, but personally i don't buy into the whole, well i'm a cool artist so you have to pay extra deal, elitist crapola!.If you really want it, go for the gusto, but as people have said, you might get a better likeness and a better deal if you wait for others to tackle it

Hi Mark, i have seen that Heath Ledger Joker before a while ago and imo it looks great.you know i am a Freddy Krueger fan and it is not my money to spend. (and it really is <b>a lot of money</b>)about the Anders VS glove i paid $325,00 and to me personally it was well worth it and not 1 day i regret that VS glove purchase i am very happy with it, but again $4500 is something very different and that's a Huge amount of money for an accurate life size movie character <u><b>Bust</b></u>.if you think that this is the <u>nr.1 High End piece</u> that Really makes you happy and most important that you eventually can afford that amount of money for a bust, than i would say go for it, you only live once.(but again it is not my money to spend) <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"rolleyes.gif\" /> (in the end if you decide to purchase it, my advice: to put this Joker bust in a custom made Display Case to protect it from dust etc.)take care,Ronald

Thanks gerard333... if I ever get one... I do plan to put it in a display case.As for people saying that the likeness is off, I'd just wonder what they think is inaccurate on this piece. I mean, I've been comparing photos of the Joker and this bust and I can't find one problem. Anyone else see any imperfections that are making it look inaccurate?And as I said before... Mike Hill's Joker is great but I just do not like the facial expression. I bought a nice silicone Christopher Reeve (w/ thick fiberglass endoskeleton & glass eyes) bust from Bob Causey about 4 years ago for around $1500 - I got an offer on it for $2700 so I sold it. Honestly, I do not think that Joker piece is worth more than $3k. A lot of time/materials go into high-end silicone pieces... but Bob is probably capitalizing on the fact that it's a Ledger Joker piece and not many are out there. If you're patient, I guarantee you more affordable Jokers will come out and you can keep most of your Fred collection and be happy.Mike Hill is asking $5k for his silicone Bela Lugosi and while I'm blown away by it and would love to pick it up... I'd only do it if it were $3k or less. I have my limits in this hobby and I'm tired of overpaying for pieces. However, an artist does have the right to ask whatever he/she wants. BTW, I make from $70-$80k/year and buy about $5,000 in masks/busts each year just so you have a perspective on my income and hobby spending.
