Just got back. BADASS. Jason is back! All I know is I went to have a good time, and I did. I was cheering throughout. People were laughing, screaming and clapping through the entire movie. I like the new take on Jason, I didn't feel any resemblance to TCM. I hope it does well...I'd say 8.5 outta 10

Looked SWEET with the sack, but for some reason not so good with the hockeymask.I also realized... FUCK IT! It's a movie, and it was fun to watch... Why mope over the bad parts? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Rolleyes\" border=\"0\" alt=\"rolleyes.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndYeah. I too feel the jacket looked a little odd when he put the Hockey Mask on. I think an old olive drab BDU would have looked better.Anyways saw it again tonight with a date who was scared shitless the entire time. I will admit after a second viewing, it did seem a rushed a little and rather short but overall imho it still has more pros than cons so I still give it an 8/10.

Saw it tonight and i loved it. I came in to it just wanting to have a good time and see jason kill dumb ass teens and thats what i got. I thought the opening 10-15 min sequence was awesome and really set the stage that jason is back and more badass than ever. LOVED the pillow sack over his head in the beginning. I enjoyed the hell out of it. It was intense when it needed to be, funny when it needed to be and scary when it needed to be. All the friday the 13th movies are about stupid, pretentious kids getting drunk, having sex and getting slaughtered and thats exactally what this was. Jason was definitely the scariest and most brutal hes been in a long long time. I diddnt come in to see a masterpiece, i came in to see the 21st century 2009 version of Friday the 13th. It did a really good job at combining all the great elements from the first 4 friday films and putting them into 1 movie. I liked it better then the TCM and Halloween remakes. It diddnt hide the fact of what it was trying to be. A straightforward slasher film. Plain and simple. 3 stars out of 4. Best Friday the 13th in a long long time

I thought Derek's take on Jason was fantastic. His actions and thought process weren't predictable and expected. I also though his ingenuity with the flood lights around the cabin was a cool touch.

Just saw it... I liked it. It was better than i thought. Sure I could say there are some things that I thought I would do without, but it was probably the best remake that they could have made. It stayed true to what the original movies were, in the realm of story and impact. My BIGGEST complaints are mostly on the creative side. I would have prefered if it was shot somewhere else. And the colored blue and purple sky was comic book ish, although it was more sparingly done than I originally thought it would be, so I got over it. Some camera angles gave away alot of the scare gags. I dont feel like explaining this in detail, so yeah.I still dont like Jason's Jacket. Thats not a knock to the movie, just me being picky. Didnt like the crazy fake boobs. Im a natural kinda guy. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /> I LOVED the traps and kill scenes. Anyone noticed how there wasnt too much gross out effects? The kills for the most part were either quick, or just disturbing in nature. Being claustrophopic myself I was bothered by the sleeping bag kill!!! Confusedhock: I also LOVED the throwbacks to the original films. The wheel chair cameo was great.I got really hyped when they finally made it to the barn.Loved, Loved, LOVED the Pamela scene at the begining.Derek Mears did a fantastic job. great posture, great movement. He really told a story with his body. Just didnt like the damn jacket.Thats it for me. I just watched it for what it was, and it was very entertaining.I still think the original, part 3 and part 4 are the best Jason movies. But this one out shines the majority of the series.
