Ok guys, I saw it again today and I have to say it was a hell of a lot better the second time. When I saw it last night people were talking the whole way through so maybe thats why I couldn't pay attention.

I liked it. It was better than i thought. Sure I could say there are some things that I thought I would do without, but it was probably the best remake that they could have made. It stayed true to what the original movies were, in the realm of story and impact. My BIGGEST complaints are mostly on the creative side. I would have prefered if it was shot somewhere else. And the colored blue and purple sky was comic book ish, although it was more sparingly done than I originally thought it would be, so I got over it. Some camera angles gave away alot of the scare gags. I dont feel like explaining this in detail, so yeah.I still dont like Jason's Jacket. Thats not a knock to the movie, just me being picky. Didnt like the crazy fake boobs. Im a natural kinda guy. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /> I LOVED the traps and kill scenes. Anyone noticed how there wasnt too much gross out effects? The kills for the most part were either quick, or just disturbing in nature. Being claustrophopic myself I was bothered by the sleeping bag kill!!! Confusedhock: I also LOVED the throwbacks to the original films. The wheel chair cameo was great.I got really hyped when they finally made it to the barn.Loved, Loved, LOVED the Pamela scene at the begining.Derek Mears did a fantastic job. great posture, great movement. He really told a story with his body. Just didnt like the damn jacket.Thats it for me. I just watched it for what it was, and it was very entertaining.I still think the original, part 3 and part 4 are the best Jason movies. But this one out shines the majority of the series.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndYeah i didnt like the jacket myself i think the VS looks the best <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> and i didnt like the Hockey Mask compare to VS the shape is not as good as the VS <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" />

Well it took in over 19 mil on Friday so we will get a sequel. To keep this going they are going to have to get some sort of story line going for part2 other than random teens. Maybe they will throw Tommy Jarvis into the next episode..

I saw it last night about 5:30. I thought that as a remake it was awful. It just down right sucked as a remake of part 1 - 4. I was surprised that Friday The 13th fans liked it. The ONLY good things about it were:The killingsJasonJared Padalecki being in it. I thought he was perfect in it Julianna Guill getting naked, she made me watch all of it. What I HATED about it:The way the mask looked and how he found it.Setting up the movie with 1 min of Mrs. Voorhess and acting like Part 1 never happened. It looked like one of the camp concerts from the 1st 5 min of Part 1 killed her. That pissed me off right away.I think the way it was paced was just god awful.Travis Van Winkle shouldn't of even been in the movie. I wanted to kill that dushbag in the 1st 5 min of it. Come on did we need the same old hag from The Texas Chainsaw reamke????? I'll still buy the Blueray and the dvd when it comes out. If this is going to be the standard for the next friday then I think they should stop now and leave the movies alone because nothing good is going to come out of it. it was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT.I couldn't of written a better plot made it flow better and make a better movie then that. I think most of us guys could.

They have Archery at almost every summer camp, and if it's there at his disposal why not use it? Would make hunting and surviving for him in the woods a lot easier. I thought it was a cool kill personally.

Being a BIG Jason fan, I was really excited to see this movie. So excited that I had my free ticket from the His name was Jason DVD thrown away by the ticket guy without realizing it. I thought he was only going to charge one ticket to my card, I said "F' it" after I realized it because I really wanted to see the film.I'm glad to say the 20 bucks was worth it. I agree with Adam, I've seen MUCH worse.I loved every little nod to the originals. This was way better than the TCM Remake.

I liked it. Did anyone notice one of the straps on the side of the masks was broken at the end when it was in floating to the bottom of the lake? Which is why I thought he was going to come up unmasked.
