Saw it twice and I thought it was really good. I wouldn't change a thing. It had everything that makes a Friday film. I hope it breaks records at the box office. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Yes I'll probably buy the DVD so that my daughter can watch with me at home (I'm not going to be that 'guy' that takes small children into an 'R'rated slasher film at the theater)....I know bad dad <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" /> ,letting his daughter watch disturbing violent slasher films. For some reason she really loves Friday the 13th movies...as well as all horror films. My older son is scared to death and wn't even come into the room if a horror film is showing. Anyway...my prediction, the DVD release will have bonus scenes of Jason without the hockey mask. It's always some gimmick to get us suckers out to buy the DVD. Long live horror films!!! both good and bad.

I Can't wait for the blu ray. It must be a deleted scene but did anyone see the tv spots that has "what looks like" jason sharping his machete? What was the reaction to the end in your theater?

Went and saw this flick earlier! Awesome, was much better than I expected and def blew the Halloween remake out of the water. I like how they pretty much stuck with the original story, but added some new twists in this one. The acting was decent and the sex scenes were "stupendous" <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> Can't wait for the DVD release. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Cool\" border=\"0\" alt=\"cool.gif\" />

watched it on Friday the 13th at 12:01am, it wasn't bad...if the whole film was how the mood and pace was before the title screen then this would have been the best Friday movie but there were some things that they could have done better imo Sack Jason was a lot scarier and a lot more effective than the Hockey Mask Jason, the opening credits with Mrs. Voorhees was way too quick and they should have shown young Jason a little better. The way Jason got his hockey mask reminded me of Rz's Halloween and was almost silly looking in the mirror. There really was no reason to kill that guy anyways, i mean that guy lived there? The first group of characters before the title screen were a lot funner and likable than the second group and I though Jason should have killed that blonde douchebag like he killed the asian dude, Some kills weren't even shown, they happend off camera or it faded to black before any gore or blood was shownI thought it was ridiculous that they made him a kidnapper with tunnels and bells, how the hell can jason even walk through that tunnel if Clay had to crouch down to walk through towards the end?Jason should have been unmasked at the very end as he broke through the planks of wood, that would have been a lot more effective and plus how the hell did Clay get Jason over to the water in the first place to kick him into the lake? that was wackI was very dissapointed with this movie, there were some cool kills such as the bow and arrow and the burning of the sleeping bag and most of the boobies were nice (except the first pair shown on screen, way to fake looking) but it didn't really even feel like a Friday film and it wasn't even that fun or gory of a filmI would have to give it 6 out of 10 maybe...I might go see it again with my free HNWJ movie ticket but I am undecided yet, in my theatre, as soon as Jason broke through the dock the screen turned off and the lights came on, did I miss anything after that happens?

It was for the most part entertaining. It seemed to be missing something though, and didn't quite have that F13 feel to me. One of the main reasons I couldn't get into it was because it's set in New Jersey and filmed in Texas, and being as I'm from Texas, I could clearly tell from the trees and landscape that that's exactly where it was. There were a few annoying continuity errors and a few shots that were out of focus as well. I only noticed 4 things that really bugged me. 1. As the guy is running up to save his girlfriend who's burning in the sleeping bag, he happens to step on the one bear trap set there. 2. If the cops did as extensive of a sarch for Whitney, then how did they miss her, when CLay found the house and heard her yelling up from underneath? 3. After killing the guy with the axe, Jason gets onto the second story of the house REALLY quickly. Thats the Jason effect to the extreme. 4. Why in the hell did they feel the need to wrap jason up and throw him in the lake after they "killed" him? And why bother taking his mask off for that matter? Thats just some nitpicking. Had the scenery not looked so familiar, I could have gotten into it better. Fun movie, but definately a very different movie. I'm sure the dvd release will have everything the ratings board made them cut out.
