Although I am a huge fan of both Burton and Depp, this will be another film I will debate seeing in theatres because of the tweens that will go OMMGZZZ over it. Like Cory said, I am a huge fan of the story, and I'm not talkin about the Disney cartoon, either. I have no doubt Burton will do it justice, I just smell another Hot Topic merchandise whore coming along that will, there for, cause preteens to cream their jeans over Johnny Depp's uber hotness.

Nightmare Before Christmas, The Crow, Edward Scissorhands, all of those became Hot Topic trends, but quickly died off. There will always be the true die hard fans like us.

I remember reading the playwright of sweeney todd my freshman year of highschool and buying the live performance on dvd immediately after. then the movie was released, and while I loved it, the annoying bandwagon "fans" really made it difficult to enjoy in theatres...

I do think this story will suit his style though, unlike Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Yes, I know Roald Dahl's original book wasn't completely without a dark aspect to it, but I just don't think Burton was right for that.I do still look forward to this movie though.

Is it just me or does Johnny Depp look like a stereotypical Burton? Somehow I just don't feel the magic anymore...

I will give this one a try, even though I don't think Depp is right for the role. They should've used an older and more crazy-looking actor instead, not a young pretty-boy. Why does Burton have to use Depp in nearly every single movie he makes nowadays anyway?

Depp is 45.From reading the cast, it looks like it has the potential to be a great film. All they have to do to Michael Sheen is slap some ears and a pocket watch on him. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/teehee.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":teehee:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"teehee.gif\" />

I've never seen a Tim Burton film that I didn't like, and I'm sure this one will be incredible. Burton and Depp together are gold!
