Sorry but saying that you are going to keep discussing this is basically a big FU to Justin's rules and the Mods. This is a personal matter between you and someone else..... an Ebay sale if that. Anyone else who posts threads like this end up locked or deleted, why are you so special that you think the rules don't apply to you?

Though I admitt he did do you wrong by not honoring his word on the free mask, technically he isn't a con artist. You paid him your money and you got your mask. If the mask was to small, you should of told him you wanted a refund as soon as you got it.

OK I think I know what happened here. Soe other guy sold one and he thought it was me, and the guy was wrong about the copy too, it was actually 3 or 4. The only reason I called him a con-artist is because he made brash assumptions that I was, or did not keep an "agreement." So it seems as though it was an honest misunderstanding. I told him he might want to check his paypal/ebay records to see what copy the other guy got because I won number 2 I am sure of it. He probably got 3 or 4, or maybe even 1 who knows? But what pissed me off is that I kept the agreement and was told I didn't. Honesty is a high virtue for me and I have no reason to lie. I have done business with MANY people, far more than those in my signature and never had a hitch. The whole cause of this problem was the agreement thing, which is kind of strange anyway because why would any seller care if a buyer sells a mask anyway? It is their choice! If I wanted to sell it I would, I BOUGHT it and I OWN it. No one can tell me otherwise. But I didn't because as I told him and others I liked it for display purposes, but a larger copy for wearing would be great, thus leading to his FREE offer...I demand nothing at the time he offered it.See what I am saying? I was just asking if he was still going to do it or not? It was that simple. The problem occurred when he said I sold it and chastised me, and I was like WTF is he talking about? I had to glance up to see if I actually still had the mask, and yes it is stil on my mannequin awaiting my weathered coveralls to get done.Umm he said no refunds or returns...But he feared I would file a claim I guess, so promised a free larger one later. But I think I expalined the problem and solution above so I am done with it.

This is the problem with the mask community.Saying its not a place to share info about a deal that was made is BS.The man told him he would send him a free mask if he did not let people know he was making a larger size at a later date. This way he could sale all the small ones that no one can wear.If everyone had of shared the info about Terrys character at CGP,which alot of people now claim they knew he was dishonest to start with,it would have saved alot of headaches and money for people. This is by far the best place to share this type of info.Everyone needs to quit being so politically correct and stop worrying about hurting feelings. There is a right and wrong way to do it though. The man should keep his word and there would be no problem. But why should we hold anyone to their word.If I tell you Im going to do something thats what Im going to do and if I dont then the person I promised should let it be known I did not keep my word.Just my opinion though .....Like they say opinions are like Aholes everybody has one

THAT changes things...So if I'm understanding correctly now, he said he would only give you a larger mask if you kept quiet about this run being far too small to wear for normal adult heads, so he could sell more copies? This makes sense to warn us about, that a mask is being sold by a mask maker who fully knows it doesn't fit? Is this accurate to what's going down?I feel you shouldn't have gone along with this if you knew he was just trying to get sales off of people on a small mask he knew would be too small. You also can't complain that he isn't giving you a free mask, because he thought you sold it, so instead of explaining yourself, you posted it everywhere... Looks like you backed out on your side of the deal, not him.

This kind of stuff happens a lot out there. Luckily in this case it was a mix up, and he is still going to honor the free mask deal because he tracked everything down and seen that I was right and have copy number 2. The other guy had copy 3 and he thought that was me. Like I said I am not looking for a free mask, he made the deal for me and I thought well cool. I just want an RZ that I can wear for Halloween. He did not want me to sell it so he could track his work he said. I thought about selling it so I could buy another one that fit, but did not like any of the others offered 100%.I almost got Scarred, but then Diablo came up and I knew immedaitely that was the one. But he told me to wait so I did, and like I said it looks great for display, but I am a costumer first and displayer second. But now that he knows I kept his "agreement" he is going to keep his. I guess we'll see.

Well you can't really say that the other masks would not fit others, as I have a larger than normal head it seems. 23-1/4 shaved. But I remember in previous emails being told that it should fit. Turns out it is ideal for maybe 23 inches and below. Could be an honest mistake or guess-work too. No one backed out of the deal, he did because he thought I was someone else. He claims he told me to keep quiet not because it might not fit others, but about sending me a free larger mask when he makes the new mold. Whether he wanted to sell the smaller ones out or not is up for debate. But I am sure they would fit most people. However he wanted to be sure I was "satisified" so he offered me a free one later when it is complete. I said sure why not. But he did tell me to not sell it, or let him know if I did so he can "track it" so he can honor agreements. Which still makes little sense to me because if I sell something I could care less what a buyer does with. But I guess since the mask was a small run he wanted to know who had it to "protect his work." Nonetheless since he found out I actually did honor the agreement he says he will now honor his. Again, I don't really care about getitng it free I am just saying what was said to me. Otherwise I would need to sell mine to fund a bigger one. I am sure it does fit most heads. Most masks I get are too small, so far only the Rubies part 7 fit perfectly and the JGTH Bloodface was actually too big, which put me in a state of shock because I never had that happen before. But I can pad that up unlike a smaller mask which is useless to wear. Oh yeah I did try and resolve it with him in about 20 emails, but private emails do not get results most of the time, I know from about 12 years experience of dealing with people privately and publicly. Publicly gets results pretty fast, and creates awareness as well.

This wasn't intended to be a bashing thread, but I just hate to see people get scammed or not get what they were promised. If you can't discuss it in an off-topic mask forum then I do not know where else you are going to. It also allows people to filter out actual scammers and see if others had similar experiences. Or in this case prove to be a misunderstanding. Had I not posted it publicly I doubt I would have been contacted. I wasn't at first, but was contacted pretty quickly after posting on the forums.
