Quick Question, Simple Latex Skin

I was going to send a PM to a couple guys, but thought this might be something other members would like to know about too, so thought I'd start a topic. I'm trying to make just a simple thin latex skin for a costume, a zombie costume, basically I need a roughly 12" squared piece of thin latex that I can add some damage to, attach to an under shirt and paint to use under a top shirt. My question, what's the best, easiest way to do this? All I have for latex is a jar of mold builder, but it can be thinned etc for whatever purpose, my main quandary involves what to pour the latex into while it's setting up, some kind of simple tray etc that it won't stick to, and will produce a good enough pull.

in the past, I have taken one of those throw away aluminum baking tray/pans and melted some clay into it. I then carved all kinds of random boils, scratches, cuts, marks etc....I then just poured the latex in layers over it and let it dry...

Go get a cheap cookie sheet and pour the latex in there. Will give you a smooth piece of skin, then when it completely dries just use latex and toilet paper to make build ups on it to look like damage and go from there. Hope that helps bud.

You can also brush layers to the desired thickness onto a piece of glass or an old mirror.

I just painted latex onto a sheet of wax paper w/ a spong brush, it came off great perfectly smooth.
Just powder it as your taking it off so it doesnt stick to itself
