Went to Days of the Dead on Saturday with Monte Ward but that was not the main reason i went on this trip. After the con Monte and i had a mask making classes that lasted 4 days. We had a blast and Monte showed me the entire process. i have seen it done on video, but this was an entirely different situation, totally hands on. Monte gave me tips on everything, but let me do it all. He sat next to me and sculpted an entire piece also. it was a great experience and i cant wait to get my air brush and try my hand at some painting.

Smoothed him up and put the ears on. the ears are hardest part of the sculpt for me.

Monte also painted my GOHS Jason pt8 as i watched from beginning to end. it was amazing. the man is a genius. took these shots of him at work, behind the scenes of Monte Wards: Masks & Monsters.

This is an awesome thread Mike!!! The mask came out great. Wish I knew had to do stuff like this. I always love the making of stuff almost more than when you have a finished product its just so much more entertaining. I look forward to seeing the mask finished man.
