Sadly, there are actually a LOT of people that just collect props and masks for their monetary value. Such is any hobby, really. Those people will always be around.

I personally try to collect the best of the best in terms of accuracy...I don\'t buy things just cause they\'re worth a lot. Hell...If I could afford one of these few new masks from Ken\'s studio, I\'d probably buy one. It\'s just way out of my price range.

i personally have no competition only way i will is if someone starts trying to paint accurate then i will have competition..but my prices will only get higher if that case...and theres plenty of Hockey Mask makers but im not one im a replica maker not a Hockey Mask maker

Mike, I hate to be the one to say it, but in most cases, people who think they are better than others, or are on top of their game in terms of their skills won\'t continue to progress. I\'m not bashing you, but thats a pretty egotistical thing to say man...

Ya it may seem like it and im not saying i am forever the best or one of the best im jsut saying as of now no one can match my paint or at least i havent seen it..i have a note book with over 200 hi res pics that i look at while painting, i take my time if it isnt right i toss the pull out and start over i dont use spray paints to weather mask and i jsut dont slap on brown or black washes either..EVEN THOUGH the actual screen used mask isnt very detailed it appears diffenrt ways as well as it gets damaged and dirty during filming so i add that as well..

i have thought i was on top or better for some years now and i keep gettin better i take time out to try new things to see what works and what doesnt i dont jsut stay with whats easy i keep trying...theres no point is getting mad..if someone else pops up and becomes as good or better than me then i will prob be like hmm how much i want one im not one of those people who cries cause there is someone out there better..

jsutin and shayne are better and i always knew that but i never made a fuss when people prefered them like people seem to do when people prefer me its because i knew they were the best out there so once people know the truth and stop this opinion stuff then the fighting will stop...( and i consider best to be most accurate to the way it looks on film)

Mike\'s masks suck!!!!! LOL!

On the strength, though.....
The man has a keen eye for detail. (even for my tastes)
I was very impressed seeing his work in person.

I love accuracy....
If an original sculpture comes forward that screams "screen acuracy" i.e. KH Myers...
I could give two hoots for a Kirk that may be rotting.

If a Hockey Mask came from the original mold or whether it is a 5th generation recast that has been retooled to match the original and is indiscernible in every way, I wouldn\'t have a problem going with ther later version. I collect what looks right to me....not for boasting rights.
(although sometimes it\'s nice to know for yourself what you got)

im tired of being modest people say what they will adn i stay quite and dont say much people act liek there mask are so perfect i stay quite to be nice nad dont say much but enough with that..if someone paints a Hockey Mask better than me( which isnt that hard to do) i will give them credit but as long as peopel jsut recast mask and spend 10 minutes painting in order to make a fast 70-120 bucks and basically take advantage of new people to this hobby that dont realize why this mask is cheaper than the other until they get it and are like man this is why it was so much cheaper..its basically ripping people off..if im gonna charge what i do im gonna do my best to match colors,scratches,knicks,and tris...

i cant jsut sell a mask with no detail at all in or or time.. i mean its all about accuracy and how u got the molds peopel make a killing by recasting then selling cheaper mask with no accuracy on them at all..bottom line is peopel say its all opinion well the best is the most accurate to the film point blank...best isnt what some guy is happy with and likes.

im not the best, thats shayne and justin whos piant cant out surpass me in a second.but jsut because others are below me doesnt mean u have to constantly hate me,talk about me on chat rooms,and bad motuh me to others.. becasue when i was on the bottom rung of the Hockey Mask ladder i never hated anyone or got made casue they were considered better or the best
