its basically the same thing as that cable there, but on my computer, the end of the cable that goes into the computer (the ubs lookin one) has nowhere to plug in
are there different cables I can get taht will plug in sumwhere else, or some sort of adapter type thinger?

Because of several difference, you cant buy a Firewire to USB adaptor. But you do have a couple of other options:
A dual Firewire/USB hub will plug into your USB port (if indeed you have one) and allow you to connect firewire devices.
or
Buy a PCI Firewire card.
I would recommend option one since they are not only easier to access without having to go to the back of your PC, they allow you to plug in more devices. Make sure you have a USB port on your PC first and confirm of it\'s USB 2.0 or not.
EDIT: You can identify whether your PC has Hi-Speed USB or not relatively easy. Open Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus section. There should be an "Enhanced" USB host controller present.
