For reinforcment I am using cheesecloth, it should make the layers nice and strong.
This is still relatively new latex so I don\'t have to worry too much about adhesion, I cleaned it up with rubbing alcohol to remove the talc that was inside.
For the older stuff you could maybe try scoring it on the inside with a blade, then you could brush on a thin layer and work it into the cracks. It\'d give you a nice fresh layer to start repairing on..
