I\'m so sorry to hear that David, she sounded like a very special woman. You have my deepest sympathies my friend. It\'s one of the hardest things to lose someone close to you, that is heightened around the holidays. I lost my grandfather last year around this time, we were close, I still miss him a damn lot, and it\'s still hard to believe he is gone. With time though, the pain, the sadness are replaced with good memories, and good feelings about the times you spent together, hold onto those, that is your grandma, and she will always be with you. Something that was said at my grandfathers funeral that had a real impact on me, and I\'ll pass those words to you now.
We don\'t cry and feel sorrow for the ones we lose, we know their pain has ended, their suffering has ceased, and they are in a better place. We cry for ourselves, for the loss, for the time we won\'t have again, and for the great pain in our hearts. This is our time, we need this time, but time passes, and those who pass on want us to be happy, and smile when we think of them. Take this time to feel sad and miss her, but let her memories make you smile again, make you laugh again, and make you remember all the good and the joy you brought eachother.
You take care David.
