But maybe his copyright was still in effect and since it was not that old they did not want to get it tied of with that film. Maybe just a thought. Who knows. I know that carpenter wanted to set the Halloween name up as a more Tales From the Crypt style series of movies where every movie was a different thing. It was Mustapha Akkad that resurected Michael Myers. Just my 2 cents and a quater or twoMatt
