I'm not touchy at all and I do realize the value of this stuff. I've been collecting for more than 4 years now...I've seen these high-dollar pieces and I've seen some for much lower prices that could look just as good. And don't give me that shit about "value the talent of the artist." That's such a cop out...everyone in this thread is like "oh buy the Joker!" I guarantee you that none of them would pay that for it...in fact we should take a poll to see what the maximum these people would actually pay for that bust is...<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndThe reason most wouldn't pay for it is because most simply don't have the income to merit such a purchase. Bob's work is meant for high-end collectors.Turning to Freddy gloves, for example... Anders at Nightmaregloves.com charges over $300 for one of his gloves. Do you think that's insane??? To most people it's way overpriced. But being a glove builder myself... I know the amount of work that goes into making them and it's not overpriced to me. Owners of his gloves say that you get what you pay for, though, and don't regret spending so much for a glove.Bob's work is top-notch and better than a lot of sculptures done by Hollywood artists yet you know anyone who has a name in Hollywood would charge an arm and a leg more than Bob simply because of who they are.
