SAW was such a great film, I really feel the sequels destroy the foundation they built. The sequels really start to distance themselves from Jigsaw's original work. The traps continue to get more advanced and impractical. If I was Leigh Whannell and James Wan I would be truly disgusted at the way they took the franchise.Although I despise the sequels, I have to say I still enjoy watching them. The plot isn't well written enough for a film, I say if broken up into 45 min. episodes with commercials, it would make a very nice TV series, but the fact is it isn't. I think the sequels soil the name of SAW in its entirety. In SAW the traps were so simple for the sight yet so complex for the mind. It was a great suspense film, but the rest of the series turns into a purely Gore flick.I enjoyed SAW 6 for what it was to be honest. Consider it a sequel of Saw 5, and just that. If you consider 2-6 as an entire different set of films from 1 then I say they are very decent horror movies, and at least they try at a decent plot. But the fact that they drive so far from Saw 1 is ridiculous.(and to be perfectly honest the only SAW film I can say truly SUCKED was 4)
