Quote:That\'s because it\'s a recast of blank that was meant for use in the movie had it been cut out and painted. Nobody\'s losing money here by Ryan and Mike recasting this blank. It\'s not taking away any business from an artist who might have sculpted a hockey or has rights to a certain mold. When you start doing that then it becomes a problem. That takes business away from that person who put the work into making that original mask. Right, Ryan?

That is true, although recasting in general is a GIANT gray area...Some would say that Cropsy or other "long-time" makers are recasters, too. It\'s all subjective.
To tell you the truth, we\'re all risking a huge asswhipping by New Line anyway. =/ So we\'re all pretty guilty if you look at it like that. Cropsy (among others) provided people with really accurate stuff unlike they\'d ever seen before. That\'s really cool and more respectable to me. Just buying a mask that someone else already markets just to recast and bank off their hard work isn\'t very cool, though.
