The problem is even some trustworthy makers are letting people down these days. I'm not talking about Justin or Terry, and I won't name names here either. I just find it really, really hard to maintain my enthusiasm for this hobby when crap like this goes on and on and on..........................................Larry

As well as being a maker i am a collector too and have had my fair share of problems, that in turn has made me 100% dedicated to treating people with respect. The onlt advice i can say is get feedback from people, i see no harm in starting a topic about a mask maker asking for ONLY positive feedback to see other peoples experiences, people wishing to warn others can use pm's.There are still some good guys left...honest! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />

1 year? 4 YEARS?! Its that bad huh? Wow man, I cant believe it. I only deal with Justin really, so I KNOW Im getting professionalism + Hard Work & Awesome communication. I have dealt with nightcreeper studios who did an excellent job of mailing me a custom order in a week for Halloween.I would be choked if I had to wait more than 5 months unless stated in the sell...even then I would be worried or annoyed.

That's just the problem Darren. Because of people like Kelly, Hauntmaster9, Tyler Haslett, LatexFX tying up large sums of my money for long periods of time I shy away from buying stuff from honest people like you and Justin and several others. I would say between those 4 guys...at least $1,000 of my money is gone...I doubt I'll ever see what I ordered from Hauntmaster or LatexFX. I had really hoped Kelly and Tyler would be better businessmen. They're tremendous artists.Seems like most people are either one or the other, but there's quite a few super talented guys who are excellent with their customers out there. These people should be exhaulted on high for being such a positive force in this great hobby. I'm really disenchanted by this whole thing. You guys shouldn't be surprised if you see 80% of my collection going up for sale very soon.

I've been seeing more and more of this kinda stuff happening lately. I can't speak for myself, however I think the biggest problem is that mask makers take on to many orders and get swamped in the process. If that's the case, then they should only take on what they can handle during a reasonable amount of time, or to make matters less complicated, accept the cash when the mask is completed. Six months to a year or more is way to long to wait for a mask. I'd say the best guys to deal with are, Justin, Terry, and Rich(Dahone)

I think the most important thing for people to get out of this discussion is COMMUNICATION!! I wouldn't mind as much if I had to wait several extra months for something I really wanted as long as there is communication. Without that, frustration turns into anger. It doesn't take that long to leave an e-mail or to return a phone call. Life events that happens still allow you an extra few minutes to deal with things like this.. for the most part. I think the mask makers that have been named here and in the past have felt the impact of bad comments about them.. I know I stay clear of people I've had problems with and have read about here.. so this is a valuable discussion, imho.Dave

The same can be said about certain glove makers, yes you know who you are!!!!The ebay add said a minimum 2 week build time but nearly 4 months is taking the p!ss, i can't do anything with ebay or paypal because too much time has past and i can't pay him a 'friendly' visit because he lives in a different country.I've had no reply from pm's or emails, no updates or anything.I'M NOT A HAPPY BUNNY, TOO MUCH OF THIS IS HAPPENING TO GOOD PEOPLE.
