I was talking to the Lead FX guy and it is supposed to be a direct sequel to TCM 74.

Supposed to be. From what I\'ve gathered, the movie starts with an angry mob burning down the Sawyer house and then cuts to the present where the killings "start up again". It\'s also out there that they are going with a mystery theme where you arent sure if Leatherface is really the killer or if they died in the burning of the house. Leatherface\'s cousin who collects her inheritance is really out to find who the real killer is. If someone would buy the gun for me, I\'ll do it. Adam Marcus can\'t be that hard to get a hold of, just saying lol (joke).

It\'s too early to determine the truth, so we\'ll have to wait and see.And Tom, I\'d be kidding myself if I said I wont be there opening week to see it no matter how bad it is.

Just like you said, gonna have to wait and see. I agree with some things on here, especially if they do the whole copycat thing, that would ruin it for me. Either way, they will get my money on opening night. :/
    Cool topic, and great feedback!

The fact that Michael Bay and the Platinum Dunes clowns aren\'t involved this time give me a bit hope for the film. It being set in the original series is also a plus. But the 3D gimmick I am not fond of. Setting it 35 years later in a populated area is also a bit odd decision. How is Leatherface gonne be able to run around with a chainsaw when he\'s 60-70 years of age?

It also said that all the 3D gags and kills are written in the script. I hate 3D, really damages movies. Like I said, it\'s the determining factor between a FILM and a FLICK.

I heard there is also a full sequence at a carnival where he picks off victims. As I keep saying, we\'ll wait and see but thus far it is NOT looking good.
