I\'d be up for a copy of that as well. I loved Monstervision...I wish they would bring it, or something like it, back to tv. That was way better than Rhonda Up All Night on USA...I think the only movie they ever showed was The Paperboy! :lol:

Realizing the space limitations of a DVD, I\'ve decided on slightly different course of action:

I will put one movie per disc, with Joe Bob Brigg\'s commentary cut in accordingly, and I\'ll also add a unique Monstervision commercial/plug per disc as well, to make it fun. This will make a total of 6 DVDs [high quality, although the Monstervision was taped on VHS]. I\'ll release one per month, in order, beginning in June. Each disc will cost approx. $10-12 [includes shipping, and also factors in the printing of liner notes/graphics and DVD costs--this will not be a chincy set]. Sound fair?

On October 31, 1998, TNT aired Joe Bob Briggs’ First Annual Dusk-To-Dawn Friday the 13th Marathon, during which they screened Friday the 13th 1-6 with Joe Bob hosting between commercial breaks.

I’ve digitized all of the Monstervision segments, and removed the commercials. Then I replaced the full-screen, edited footage from TNT with unedited, widescreen footage from Friday the 13th 1-6. I divided it up 6 ways [one segment per flick]. Finally, I put each one to DVD.

So, there’s one film per disc, with Joe Bob Brigg\'s commentary cut in accordingly. Plus, each disc begins with a unique Monstervision commercial, to make it fun.

That makes a total of 6, high-quality DVDs [the Monstervision segments were originally recorded on VHS, but look good]. Each one comes in a jewel case, and I’ve produced a set of liner notes and graphics for each DVD--the outer jackets are similar, with different liner graphics/notes on the inside. The completed set is very professional. This is not a chincy affair.

I\'m releasing one disc per month, in order, beginning this month (JUNE). The cost is $15 per disc. This is the cheapest I could make it, including blank media costs, printing and packaging costs, and shipping [International orders have to add extra].

I’m currently taking orders for the FIRST DISC ($15), featuring Joe Bob Briggs hosting the original Friday the 13th.

Great idea!  Is there any way, you could do all of them and sell as a package to save on shipping?  Or are you just editing one each month b/c it takes a lot of time?

I\'m only producing one per month b/c it takes a good chunk of time, and also, because the shipping is a relatively small portion of the cost. Most of that is due to DVD/case costs and printing costs...

So, where are all the MonsterVision fans?

So it\'s like watching a widescreen dvd of a Friday film, but every few minutes Job Bob cuts in with some sarcastic comments and stuff? That\'s awesome man!! I\'d like the pt 3,4, and 6 ones myself. Though I\'d love to hear what comments he makes about Pamela. I bet he rips her up.

Yessir, indeed he does.

The first MonsterVision disc should be a good time. It begins with a short 1-1 1/2 min. spot that Joe Bob did minutes before the marathon during the credits of Dracula: Dead And Loving It (it was TNT\'s premiere broadcast), and then goes directly into the First Annual Joe Bob Briggs Dusk-To-Dawn Friday the 13th Marathon, and the original Friday the 13th... just like watching widescreen Friday the 13th with Joe Bob coming in every 15-20 minutes with some sarcastic humor and fun movie insights/history that you can munch popcorn to.

I designed the outer jewel-case graphics to resemble an old plastic video cassette case, and all of the text is made with a plain, handwriting-ish font... gives it that nostalgic, "watching late-night horror movies," "livingroom" feel. The liner booklet has a 3 1/2 page autobio. of John Bloom (Joe Bob Briggs), and then some scrap book-type pages of Friday the 13th texts and pics (i.e. some scan-o-gram clippings, F13 reviews from film books like the Creature Features horror movie guide---a personal favorite of Joe Bob Briggs\')... you get the picture.
