The collecting bug bit me with StarWars figures and comic books back in the 70\'s.
But then again....it was that nature to collect the next issue or that next figure to complete the set that was pictured on the back of the blister card.

    Now.....well I\'ve always loved monsters....
Kind of neat to watch a DVD and aftewards walk into a room and see "that dude" on your shelf. Cool

Nothing like owning something that looks like it came right from the movie. I don\'t care if 99.9% of the population can\'t tell my 300$ myers didn\'t come from spencer gifts, when I look at my shelf it feels like I\'m owning a bit of haddonfield and just watching the movie couldn\'t give me that feeling.

for me, simply being able to hold something in my own two hands that strongly resembles what I see on film is unexplainable. Its like a partof the movie is mine, and always with me

but like a lot of others said, Ive collected for a long time, whether it be movies, posters, toys, etc etc. I just think collecting of any sort (i.e. : model cars, action figures, pokemon cards or latex masks) is a cool, healthy hobby for anyone

Its funny though, because something as popular as say... football -- the people who are really into it are no different than us, besides their interest is in something else. Really don\'t know why we\'d be considered wierd, because whats the difference in us wanting something from a movie we love, and someone wanted a jersey or helmet from a player they like. Knowing every player on a team, they\'re number, all this, is no different from us knowing what monster did what in which movie. Anyway, this hobby just interests me and like so many have said already, I just like seeing that character in 3D and sitting in my house.
