You know I felt the same way it felt like a TCM movie and didn't have the Friday feel to it. Maybe I need to watch it again...I dont know.

I just got back from watching it and I'm afraid to say that I couldn't stand it. I'm not going to go off on a tangent about everything that I thought was wrong with it but I will say this...had I not been there with some friends that I've not seen in a while, I would have left before it ended. It was way too rushed in my opinion, especially the beginning. The entire scene with his mother happened too fast, and made almost no sense. The only part that I liked was the speed and power of Jason but that was it. I liked nothing else about the movie at all. I was expecting this though, I was one of the few on here that wasn't looking forward to it and it went more or less how I thought it would for me. -Joseph

I have to say this movie scared my wife shitless.She kept her eyes closed half the time.I loved the fast movements of jason.I was a little disappointed in some aspects of the film liked mentioned above no classic jason killing music....I liked the actors as they were all descent.I really liked the guy named Cory,which is Sam in the TV series Supernatural.If you want to see an incredible series you should definitely watch Supernatural.Overall i was pleased but not your typical Jason film by no means.I was fine with that though.6.5/10

just got back from watching it and it sucked assyeah, it had tits, gore and weed but so what just like zombies halloween, it lacked suspense and not one part made me jump or feel one bit uncomfortable the music was garbage, no real backstory, wheres the "ch ch ch, ka ka ka", wheres all the creepy wilderness noises that made the 1st four so creepy? it felt like tcm with jason, and really the best thing about the new tcm's was R Lee Ermey, not leatherface, hey, we just seemed to kill a serial killer, lets carry his 300 lb ass and just throw him in the lake....i mean come the f on, the story and script was garbageF*CK MICHAEL BAYEDEN LAKE > CRYSTAL LAKE

if it were up to me , i'd start the movie kinda like how Chris Makepeace was in Meatballs ya know ? somewhat uneasy around the other kids and just very much alone while his mother worked at the camp and always was watching him through the windows of a cabin with his head down all by himself and she feels horrible for him because none of the other kids wanted to play with him because he looked different . then his mom talks jason into joining the other kids in the lake to go swimming but staying in the shallow end but the other kids want to have some fun and get him into deeper water and the next thing you know , young jason is drowning and nobody is there to help him while the kids think they are having fun with him and don't realize that they are about to kill him as he goes under . they wait for him to pop out of the water but never does and then it kicks in that they have done something really bad and quietly leave the lake keeping the whole thing a secret . time for dinner and jasons mom comes outside and calls for him and nothing ..... then thinking that he just wandered into the woods to be by himself she doesn't think much of it as she's seen him walking by himself alot but as she's walking past a cabin , she hears some of the other kids talking about what they've done and want to tell someone but somebody tells tem not to as they'll get into alot of trouble but don't know that she over heard them . then she takes out her rage on the councelers and that's the opening of part 1 . i know most of you can do alot bette rthan me lol but that's just how i would've liked to do it . mike,

To be honest, the script WAS garbage... Nothing about the story was enjoyable. I DID laugh a bucnh of times, and think it's a "fun" movie to see, but in NO WAY is it as creative and suspensful as the TCM remake. It seemed like Jason had NO PURPOSE for some reasonI will agree though, it felt like TCM with Jason as the killer... and that just doesn't belong.Just DON'T GO expecting a Friday the 13th film because it's not. This is a completely seperate movie with a copy cat look for the killer. However, I still enjoyed the movie for what it was.

Just got back... loved the movie except the fact that the crew might have put there TCM spin on the movie since they had previously done the tcm film... whether they meant to give this movie that feel or not.Has anyone put together a running list of all the nods they noticed to the older movies and which movie the nod came from? would be interesting to see if there were other things that I didn't pick up on????I can't think of very many off the top of my head... but I know there were a bunch!1. sheriff "Garrett" from part 62. Jason crashing through window part 43. Jason hanging in barn part 34.

So I'm not sure what you mean, as there characters weren't very much alike either.I felt, just like Halloween, Jason wasn't much of a human being at all.. he was a "monster."
