I get mostly what all you guys are saying. My parents know how much I love collecting horror stuff, so the most my dad ever does is ask how much I spent on the newest thing that I\'ve got.

I also get the whole "how do you sleep at night" thing too. My room rocks!

I don\'t have a big collection at all because I\'m picky and I don\'t see the point of certain masks and props. My relatives are split about it. Some think it\'s a waste of money, some think it\'s weird, but it\'s my thing, and some think it\'s cool. The thing with masks and horror collecting is, it\'s just not as contemporary as collecting crystal or china or crap like that. A zombie bust on your shelf isn\'t going to appeal to as many people as a landscape painting. People will always waste money whether it\'s on masks, or fine china, or beer and cigarettes. We get stuff we don\'t need.

I couldn\'t agree with you more. As George Carlin said - what other country is stupid enough to make itself into one big shopping mall? Humans love shopping malls so much because they can satisfy their two biggest wants, shopping and eating. (He said something like that anyway)

And if you enjoy what you buy, then it isn\'t a waste at all. Screw what other people think!

I get 2 comments from my dad.....
#1 You don\'t need all of those Michael Myers, they all look the same and
    #2 You don\'t need 7 Jason masks.....
But, then he also tells me he never wants me to give up on the collecting/making masks because it\'s good for me to have an outlet and a second source of income.

My family and friends really like it. They think it is really cool and like looking at any new stuff I get. They are all very supportive of my collection.

My old man actually respect the art form of a mask. If he sees a new one he checks out the quality of the paint, and thickness of the latex. My mom really digs into the old monster masks, even got me Aarons Lewis\'s topstone Ghoul and his Mayhem Monster. So I guess I am lucky all around.
