also tho funkytown ur right if u do buy a mold and the rights then its ok cuz the original maker has handed over to u the permission to recreate as u see fit....although if the mold u buy was recasted then ur no better...lol...im not pointing blame here or anything, just making a statement about how confusing things can get

I came into possesion of a mold. How I did you can believe what you want because you\'re going to anyway. I talked to alot of people before I used the mold. Some of them are even here right now. I doubt any Elders are gonna stand up and say that they were one of the ones who didn\'t see a huge problem with it, especially now that this shit has blown up so badly.

Either way. I love Myers, I wanted to make Myers. I had no Myers masks in my collection at the moment but I had a mold. I made 4 copies which were originally going to be for myself, I wasn\'t thrilled with them so I sold them.

Either way, the mold is going to be destroyed and pics sent to Terry.

I would like to point out how much I love the hypocrisy on these boards. There are people on these boards and other boards I go to that have totally recasted things and they didn\'t get shitted on like I did. I didn\'t do it to make a \'fast buck,\' I didn\'t make shit. I did it because I love Myers masks.

If I\'m banned, I\'m banned. I\'ll support the Mods decisions. It was cool knowing some of you.

I know I\'ll catch a bit of flack here, but eh, I\'m too damn old to care much anymore.
For MODEL KITS, I firmly support recasters if I can get a kit A) Cheaper, and most importantly B) get a kit that is no longer being produced.
Say I wanted a Screamin\' Freddy kit. Am I gonna pay hundreds of bucks for an original one on ebay? Hell no, if I can get the same kit recasted for a quarter of that price. Yes, there are differences, I\'m sure, but with my modeling skills, and painting skills, I can make it purty enough for my liking.
I honestly don\'t see the huge deal here. The whole debate of recasting has been driven into the ground on this, and many other boards. It amazes me how so many jumped right at Bill for this. Like he has said, all he wanted to do was make a decent mask. I\'m sure if he knew he\'d get this much crap for his efforts, he wouldnt have even bothered.
For what it\'s worth Bill, I think it\'s a very awesome mask. I\'ll tell ya, if I didn\'t already have a Myers mask from Andy, I\'d be wanting one of yours. No matter WHERE it came from. I buy what I like, and frig what other people think of it. I\'m too old to be worrying what other people think of me, and I cut the apron strings a friggin long time ago, and don\'t answer to anyone but myself now.

well im jsut gonna say this i dunno whats going on and who the elders are but alot of people who have been around a while are considered elders casue they think they know everything..IM sure we all know who some of them are who claim to know this nad that but only repeat whats heard and really dont know crap and have the time are youngins themselves im not gonan say anyones names but the fact is if bill asked and these know it alls said ok go for it then i can see where he believed them..

But the only peoples who opinions matter are mask makers them self or seriuos collectors who know a little more than others.that is for anyone esle in the future in this situation as bill
