Just Want To Vent

This has happened 3 times in the last month! Guys, if you want a piece but do not have the money or even question whether or not you can buy it... please, please do not ask for someone to hold it. It's rude, inconsiderate, and a waste of time. Whenever I hold something I have for sale... it is because I trust in the interested party to follow through and BUY it within the said amount of time. No longer will I hold any more of my items because buyers are not following through at all. It seems they either find something else at the last minute they are interested in or come up with tons of excuses. If you haven't paid your bills or your relative is in the hospital and needs your help.... I stress this * do not buy any masks!* Do not express interest or even look in the classifieds section for that matter. Just walk away from the computer and handle your real life situations first... then come back to enjoy the hobby and buy masks when you can afford them. It's simple really. It makes life easier. If I get another PM from a member on the board asking me to hold a piece... you will be ignored or will get a nice little "no" (with the exception of a few very trustworthy friends). Hey Chad I feel ya man, but with this hobby ya gotta be able to have patience with buyers. Most of them are paying with paper route money and b-day money. I have been waiting for a guy to pay me for my gohs 8 Hockey Mask for about 8 weeks now. It's deff tuff i know...I see what you mean though, if someone backs out thats just BS!

But what I'm talking about here is completely aside from that. When ordering from a maskmaker or dealing w/ a seller and communicating that you can only do payments or have to wait 2 weeks to get a paycheck etc. that is understandable - IF THE BUYER STILL HAS THE DESIRE TO FOLLOW THROUGH. What I'm talking about here is buyers who just lead you on... or play games leading you to put all things aside for them... and then you come to find out they can't purchase the item. That's not fair to the seller or other interested buyers in the hobby. While 2-3 others could have sent PMs or emails expressing interest, they didn't b/c the thread said SALE PENDING. Btw, I will not be using those words anymore. From now on, the items in my sale thread are for sale until the money is in my hands... end of story.

Thank god for 2nd chance offers on eBay now. BTW, this ebay crap is all aside from the other 3 guys who have recently backed out on the forums.Honestly guys... I've been into this hobby for almost 7 years now and have never dealt with so many collectors who love to make a deal and back out on it after they've reeled you in. I guess its all coming to me at once!

I totally understand what you talking about. When I first started selling my own masks I had 3 or 4 people tell me they were buying the mask but needed time to get the money, but would have it soon. So me trying to be a nice said I'd finish the masks so I could ship them out as soon as I got the cash, that way they had no wait time on the masks. One person told me they no longer want the mask and the others just never replied back. It was my own DUMB fault that I was now stuck with the masks. Someone eventually helped me sell them out but it took more time then I wanted. Now I got to have the cash or I make make them ready to ship and sell on ebay.
