I dont know if many of you follow canadian news but last night on a greyhound bus with 37 passengers, leaving from edmonton destined for winnipeg a 19 year old male passenger was brutally stabbed to death then decapitated by a man seated next to him while the passengers watched helplessly. The 19 year old man was sleeping in his seat with his headphones on when he was attacked, the suspect and victim apparently did not know each other, it was a supposed random act of violence. I dont follow u.s news so I dont know if this kind of thing happens in america but these things do NOT usually happen here. Its just something that makes you realize that yes, our hobby is for the most part harmless, but in reality psychotic, sociopathic murderers do exist, ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE. my prayers and condolences go out to the victims friends and family.

Here is an eyewitness account .<a href=\"http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/07/31/greyhound-transcanada.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/07/31/...ranscanada.html</a>I love true crime and serial killers, but i for the life of me can't figure out why people do it.I mean, I have said "I could kill him/her" but I could never take that step to make it a reality.I just don't get it.Pat

wow thats really sad to hear . did they say what happened to the guy who killed the 19 yr old ? i still don't understand how so many people could just sit there and watch without trying to help ? kinda like that one video of this man attacking a old man i think in his 80's or something beating the life outta him just to steal his car and you could see in the video that some people were standing only a few feet away and didn't bother to do a thing . sad to know that this world is getting worse every day with people killing for almost no reason at all . a close friend of mine that i was in school with for years was shot to death just a few weeks ago and shes not much younger than me . mike,

I just read through that article. That is some disturbing stuff right there. Even here in the states you don't see much of this type of crime. Sure there are random acts of violence committed every day, but the brutality of this one is mind boggling. Really makes you think.

But im saying this couse I am one of those people that will jump in, I will take the risk of getting hurt or if its something i just cant deal with the type of crime, I will risk my life. To me i cant see knowing that i saw something like that and did nothing about it, I would consider my self a bitch for that. Well and I alway have a knife on me in case but if its rare which i seems to be , then it probebly wont happen to much but here in minneapolis alot of this does happen and it seems to maintain or just get worse (mainly in the summer time). I know that when things like this happens though, an arrest is made sometimes but no one looks into what makes these people act like this or not care. life is hard for some and just mentaly hard for others. They need to look into people mental status after repeat crimes and certain acts. things like this can be prevented, but the goverment doesnt care to much on the subject. Not even to say that its there problem i guess but crack babys and drug fiends dont have much going for them , and will do what ever just to get what they want or need and sometimes just go crazy. I for one think all communitys should have some sort of protection for you self program, so people know what to do in these situations besides call the cops.

That's messed up. That really does sound like something straight of a horror film with the guy taunting police with the head. The fact that he did this in front of children is even more disturbing. I can't imagine what they must have thought. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />

That has to be one of the most disturbing stories I've ever heard. Scary.
