Yes.. the MATERIALS are not worth that much. But you're paying for the work that the artist did to come up with such an amazing sculpture. The value is in the artistry of the piece, not the materials. That's something I just don't understand. Don't people expect to be paid for the time they put into their work as well as getting reimbursed for the materials? The hair on this piece is all hand-punched hair by hair and that in itself is time consuming. Yes.. the price he is asking is very high... but remember... you're also paying for the artist's name as well. If you haven't seen this guy's other work.. you gotta check it out. He's totally a pro. Professional stuff always costs more than lesser-knowns.And if you only make $20,000 a year... you shouldn't be thinking about buying one unless you still live with your parents. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

Oh I've seen his work man...it's all amazing! Time considered...the absolute maximum this piece should run is around 1-2K...tops...Since you're willing to spend 5K on a head and shoulders...just get a Realdoll instead.

Not yet dude...but once the DVD is out people will be able to get some particular shots of him (most likely). I think a lot of people are getting burned out on Joker though...I know I am. I loved the movie (saw it 3 times in the theater)! I'm just so sick of seeing 3839083983938 people dressed up like him and all the T shirts and schwag. It's like they just flooded the market with images of the Joker and some of the artists lost interest as well. I hope to see more. I'd love to have one, but I wouldn't even spend over 500 for it.

Wow.. you're touchy.Just saying that if you're unwilling to spend more than $500 for Bob's Joker bust... then you obviously don't know how to price a professional piece of artwork and don't really value the talent of the artist.

No...I just have a life outside of collecting and I realize that a "piece of art" while beautiful and all...is still just sitting there collecting dust rather than transporting me somewhere or giving me some sort of life experience that in the long run will be FAR more valuable. I'm not touchy at all and I do realize the value of this stuff. I've been collecting for more than 4 years now...I've seen these high-dollar pieces and I've seen some for much lower prices that could look just as good.And don't give me that shit about "value the talent of the artist." That's such a cop out...everyone in this thread is like "oh buy the Joker!" I guarantee you that none of them would pay that for it...in fact we should take a poll to see what the maximum these people would actually pay for that bust is...
