Has Wes Craven been interviewed about this re-make at all? I would just be interested in hearing his thoughts on it. Does he give this movie his blessing? My guess would be, probably not.

I think the trailer looks great! I think Haley is really going to make this character his own.I have NO CLUE what you are talking about sirbrad... This is not even close to Robert's Freddy. It doesn't seem at all like Jackie is trying to impersonate him. This is a NEW Freddy.Those who keep saying "why not keep Robert?"... This is a remake... Give me a reason TO keep Robert. It's a new movie, of course they are getting a new actor. And as for saying there should be a new outfit if there is a new actor... Why? Those are Freddy's trademarks. I guarantee the same people saying that would be saying "why the hell did they change his outfit, they should have kept it" if they did in fact change it.But I agree, its a little odd seeing a non-Robert Freddy at first site, but I am so for Haley's performance. Maybe not the look 100%, but I am digging it and it will grow on me. Jackie is a great actor and I think he will do the role justice.As for those saying "what if he didn't do it?".....he did... don't worry about it. Why would they change the plot that Freddy was innocent? Not happening, don't have a single worry about that...And sirbrad, Freddy didn't have these "different personalities" because they liked making the character different and charismatic. They did it because they scripts got worse and worse and all they wanted to do was make the audience laugh instead. Freddy wasn't meant to be a comedian. Though you may like his different personalities I personally don't think Freddy was meant to be that way, and they never intended on it becoming that when filming ANOES 1.Can't wait til April!

Wes was never even contacted or asked about participating in this remake. Wes said that seeing NOES being remade is very painful to him because he completely sold the rights of the Franchise when he made the original film. So, it's painful to him because he isn't going to make any money from it. But it would have been nice to see Wes' input with the making of the film since he is the creator of it all. But business is business and when he sold the rights, he lost control. Sad but true.

im sure everyone has an opinion on this trailer but lets all try to be open minded about it,isnt it great to c a new freddy and film on the big screen?new film means new glove and new masks etc which im sure we will all want whether the film is crap or not,fingers crossed it will be good and we only have the trailer to go off anyway so lets all just wait and see!!!

until i can get some more clear shots of his face i won't say much . but that glove is too cool <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> . i like the little touch of the little girls dress being ripped like Freddy just ran his glove over her . ya know in a strange way at the begining when he's being chased , he kinda looks like T-Bag from prision break which i still think would've been a heck of a person to play him but we'll see how this guy does as i've never seen any movies of him or heard of him for that matter . any news if that's how the movie starts or will they have any of the court room scenes like they did on that one episode of the tv series ? now that was really cool and one of my fa. Very excited by the look and feel of this film it just looks dirtyI'm more excited by the fact that we have a new man playing Freddy as it will bring something new to the franchise, As some of you know I'm a huge Robert fan and run his official forum but I honestly would not have been in favour of him doing this film ( what would be the point) You have to keep the kep elements of Freddy or it no longer is Freddy so the glove hat sweater and burns are a must The one thing I'm just not sure about is the make up <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":confused:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" /> I know we can't see a lot now but If it's going right down to under the skin so you see teeth moving how the hell am I going to be able to make an accurate mask of that <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":biggrin:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> The more reaslistic burns are very welcome but I do hope that with every film made ( I hear they are signed on to do another 3) I hope to see new gloves and make up, it brings something new to Freddy every time we see him, It's half the joy this character brings everytime there is a new film not knowing how he is going to look.One thing that gives me a little hope with the make up on this remake is , IS this the final look or just put out for the trailer ????? watch it again and the words at the end don't match up to any movement of his mouth so fingers crossed there is better to come <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> All in all Thank you Robert for Bringing us Freddy in the past and a big welcome to Jackie <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":biggrin:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> this is his role now and I'm sure he wont let us down neither will the production team.They have a mass of past evidence to see where the franchise got turned upside down so there is no reason for them to ever make those same mistakes <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" />
